River sat down next to Vanya lighting her cigarette while she waited for Klaus to finish making her another drink. "So... I guess we should get this started" Luther sat up "So, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown. Say a few words, just at dad's favourite spot"

"Dad had a favourite spot?" Allison questioned.

"Yeah, you know under the oak tree. We used to sit out there all the time. None of you ever did that?" Luther questioned.

Klaus walked up to the group and handed River her drink in her free hand then leaning down for her to light his cigarette. He then turned his attention on Luther. "Will there be refreshments? Tea? Scones? Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner?"

"What? No. And you two put that out. Dad didn't allow smoking in here" Luther demanded. River ignored the man and took a long drag from her cigarette flipping him off in the process.

Allison looked over Klaus "Is that my skirt?"

"What? Oh, yeah, this. I found it in your room. It's a little dated, I know, but it's very breathy on the bits" Klaus told the woman.

"Listen up!" Luther called "Still some important things that we need to discuss all right"

"Like what?" River questioned.

"Like the way, he died," Luther told her. River let out a heavy sigh as she sank further into the softer and took a swig from her drink.

"And here we go" Diego muttered.

"I don't understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack" Vanya said quietly too scared to speak up.

"Yeah, according to the coroner" Luther responded.

"Well, wouldn't they know?" Vanya questioned.

"Theoretically" Luther stated.

"Theoretically?" Allison and River questioned.

"I'm just saying, at the very least, something happened. The last time I talked to dad he sounded strange."

"Oh, quelle surprise" Klaus gurgled.

His drink ended up landing on Rivers leg "Ew Klaus stop it's going all over me" She whined.

Allison shook her head at River and her sibling and turned back to Luther "Strange how?"

"He sounded on edge. Told me to be careful who to trust" Luther told everyone.

"Luther, he was a paranoid, bitter old man who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles" Diego tried to explain to him.

"No. He must have known something was going to happen" He turned to look at River and Klaus "Look, I know you two don't like to do it, but I need you to talk to dad" Klaus and River shook their heads knowing that they both went in a stable enough position to contact Reginald Hargreeves.

"We can't just call dad in the afterlife and be like dad could you just stop playing tennis with Hitler for a moment and take a quick call," Klaus told his brother

River nodded in agreement "Yeah I would hate to have to interrupt his tea party with Maggie Thatcher"

Luther looked over the two of them "Since when? That's your thing."

"I'm not in the right... frame of mind" Klaus explained.

"You're high?" Allison questioned.

Klaus nodded "Yeah! Yeah! I mean how are you not listening to this nonsense?"

Luther looked over at River "And what's your excuse? Are you high too?" He questioned.

River put my hand over her heart and pretended to be hurt "Not today no. This on the other hand" She held up my glass of neat tequila "Is my ninth one so..."'

"How are you still standing?" Diego asked.

"I'm just that amazing spandex" River told him as she lifted her drink. Diego rolled his eyes at the girl.

"Well, sober up, this is important" Luther demanded.

Klaus and River both let out a sigh while Luther continued talking. "Then there's the issue of the missing monocle"

"Who gives a shit about a stupid monocle?" Diego questioned as he stood up from his seat.

"Exactly. It's worthless. So whoever took it, I think it was personal. Someone close to him. Someone with a grudge" Luther tried to explain.

"Where are you going with this?" Klaus questioned.

"Oh, isn't it obvious, Klaus? He thinks one of us killed dad" Diego stated. Luther didn't respond he just let out a grunt and looked away from his brother.

"You do?" Klaus questioned.

"How could you think that?" Vanya asked.

"Great job Luther. Way to lead." Diego teased.

"That's not what I'm saying" Luther tried to defend himself.

"You're crazy, man. You're crazy" Klaus shouted.

"I'm not finished!" Luther called.

"Okay we'll I'm just going to go murder mom be right back" Klaus called back.

River nodded and got up to follow Klaus "Klaus wait for me I'll help!"

Luther grabbed her arm "River please"

River shook her head at the man "Luther let me go. He may have not been my dad but he was a large part of my life" She tugged her arm out of his grip and continued to walk out of the room.
