Take Me

Chapter 14

Jennie's POV

We are now packing our bags up. We are getting ready for our flight back home. Lisa and I were back to the usual, cold, silent treatment, as much as I want us to be okay, it seems like it's not the right time yet. 

I stepped out as I cleaned my room. I saw Lisa stepping out of her own room too. This time, Rosé asked Aaron, Lisa's personal butler to fetch them. 

"Good morning Miss Kim" That's Aaron greeting me. I smiled at him. I saw him carry Lisa's luggage. Our eyes met but she instantly looked away. Chan on the other hand fetch my bags as I carry Lia down stairs. 

They fetched me and we'll head home together, although, they're flying back to their home as soon as we land. 

We are still riding on Jisoo's plane.

We gathered our luggages in the living room and waited for the car to fetch us up. Even though the Royal car is there, and Chan brought a car, we decided to have our last ride for this vacation and just meet with the rest at the airport. 

as we hopped inside the car, Rosé was driving. The ride was silent and smooth, the music was mellow and the weather is cloudy. I closed my eyes when I felt a touch on my hand. 

She's holding me. 

For a second I thought it was just holding me, but she leaned her head on me. I didn't say anything and just let her do what she wants. I cannot read her, she's sometimes silent, sometimes clingy, but I couldn't be more happy with her actions. 

I know, this is wrong, this is not good for us, but I can't blame myself from wanting her presence. It's so confusing. 

We arrived at the airport and we went directly to the hanger where the plane was waiting.

after a few hours of plane ride, we arrived at the airport. We parted our ways. Jisoo went straight to her company because she has some meetings to attend to. Rosé went to the headquarters to settle some problems, Lisa went straight to the Palace to get back to work, and I stayed at the airport to send my daughter and Chan back to their place. 

I happily spent lunch with my daughter as I saw the media taking pictures of us. At first, it was very difficult to keep Lia from the media, but she was able to adapt to it. We were having our lunch as a family, I was feeding Lia while Chan was finishing his food. I didn't bother eating since I'm planning to go home, to my home. 

As their flight were called, I kissed my daughter goodbye and told her that I'll be home in no time. Chan and I said our goodbyes and they boarded on the plane. 

I found my way back to my car and went straight home. As soon as I arrived, the maids opened the door for me. 

same old mansion.

"Welcome back Miss Jennie Kim" They greeted and bowed down. My parents aren't home yet so I'm all alone in this big old mansion.

I went straight to my room and have my luggage deliver up. I threw myself on my bed. Still the same as before. After 10 years, nothing has changed. I looked at the picture frame on my night stand and I saw a happy Jennie and Lisa. 

I arranged my luggage on my closet and had the rest of my stuff at the hotel delivered here. I pressed the intercom beside my bed. 

"Don't bother to cook dinner for me" I said. I took a quick shower as I plan to go to the company to prepare the themes I'll present tomorrow. I wore comfortable clothes since the company will close, meaning, I'll be the only person there. 

I drove my way to the company with my portfolios, designs, and themes that I'll probably present. As soon as I arrived at the company, the guard greeted me. I simply went straight to my office and start the work there. 

It's already 9pm and I've been working for the last 3 hours. I contacted the people I'll be needing for this project, although they will not be with me tomorrow, but once we start organizing, they'll come. 

I instructed Amanda to send me all the projects that the company is doing so that I can do a final check before I get so busy. 

Rosé's POV

I spent the rest of the day, or night, here at the headquarters. Mr. Lee hasn't returned yet and I have reports to check. 

I sat on Mr. Lee's office scanning through new recruits profiles, and target profiles. 

"Ms. Park" That's my assistant Raven. She reports to me with everything I ask her to do. 

"Do you have the profile of the guy I asked you to find" I asked without looking at her. 

"Yes, my men questioned him, and his alibi checks out, he's a negative" She said handing me the folder with the suspects information.

"What did the police wants us to do?" I asked her. Since the day of Lisa's coronation, I opened my doors to the police department. Although I don't need them, having them under my wing is an easy work, meaning, we can get warrant as easy as 123. 

"They haven't said anything yet. But another client came in here, he wanted us to do something, but he's only disclosing it to you" She said. 

"I will not be accepting that, you can ask Mr. Lee if he wants to accept that, I still have matters to attend to, and don't stop until you find that guy I asked you to find" I said and I left the room with the profiles. I headed to the training room to check their progress. 

15 trainees who are on their last level of training and will start working in the real world. 

As soon as I finished checking them, I head back to the office, getting ready to leave the headquarters. I need to return to the palace, Lisa's unguarded. 

I reached the palace gates in no time. It took a little while to opened the gate so I traveled my eyes around the vicinity, just random citizen spending the night outside the palace, but one man caught my attention. He's looking at the palace, like he was studying it. As soon as the gates opened, I went to the front door and have my car parked by the valet. 

I went inside and went straight to Lisa's office, I know, even this late, she wants to spend her night at the office before going to bed. 

Aaron opened the door for me and there I saw Lisa behind the desk reading a book. the usual book. 

"What took you so long?" She asked without looking at me. 

"I was checking the trainees for their last training" I said as I placed my stuff on my table here inside her office. 

"What time am I meeting the organizers tomorrow?" She asked. although I'm not her personal assistant, she wants me to track and manage her schedule making the personal assistant completely useless. 

"Lunch time" I said. I have to remind Jennie. 

Lisa didn't know that I picked Jennie's company as organizer for her wedding. 

"Here? or outside?" She asked. She placed the book she's reading on the drawer on her table.

"where do you want?" I asked. 

"We can meet at Amore, before the new owner claims it. I also want to see the place before everything else" She said. My heart pounds with what she suggested.

I think fate is working for the both of them. 

I hid a smile and agreed with what she said. I texted Jennie and told her to meet us at Amore tomorrow lunch time and she agreed. 

As the night continue to fold in, Lisa decided to take a rest, so I, can finally rest too.
