"Humour...How interesting?" Jiwoo sarcastically sighed, looking at the schedule for the competition that day.
"What do you mean? You and yerim are funny" Chaeryeong, her servant defends but Jiwoo wasn't exactly buying her words. Especially when Yerim, who was beside her in the carriage they rode in, started baling with laughter.
"Jiwoo's comedy is like stale bread" Yerim remarks, laughing at her own joke. Maybe just the best way to get her prepared for the challenge at hand that day.
"Oh please Yerim, your jokes are flat" Jiwoo states.
"Yeah, just like your-"
"Ok! That's enough!" Chaeryeong stops the argument at hand and silences both of the girls.
"Both of you girls have the same amount of points, so it wouldn't matter if you both weren't funny. Just try your best" Chaeryeong states and both Yerim and Jiwoo cross their arms in unison.
"It won't matter anyways. At least I'm not the one going on a date with Sooyoung '' Yerim says and Jiwoo's ear perks up. "W-what?? When did I ever agree to that-..."
It was when Jiwoo had thought for a moment that she paused her words.
"And you're beautiful, see we're perfect for each other. Come on, you, me, and the rose garden tomorrow night? We can be delusionaly beautiful together " Sooyoung fires back, but soon, an idea comes to Jiwoo's mind.
"...Maybe you're right...I accept," Jiwoo says lightly and Sooyoung was immediately caught off guard. Just enough the Jiwoo quickly aimed for her forehead, lightly poking the skin. Not enough to scar but left a sour sting to her forehead.
"Yeah, have a nice time with that" Yerim smiles, getting out of the carriage once it comes to it's stop. Jiwoo stays for a bit and stares at Chaeryeong who was trying her hardest to hold back her laughter.
"Are you laughing too?? I can have you fired, you know." Jiwoo angrily states with redness spread all across her face as Chaeryeong bursts out into laughter.
"I know, I know. Now let's get moving, the faster we finish this challenge the faster you can go on your date-"
"Enough! No more mentions of it" Jiwoo snaps and both her and Chaeryeong make their ways from the carriage and into the auditorium where they would be performing. This was truly going to be a catastrophe.

"You know, I've never been to the theatre before" Jinsoul says, feeling the thick velvet that was the fabric of the auditorium curtains.
"Really? Didn't Mr.Kim give you days off? Surely you must have been able to go at least once" Jungeun states beside Jinsoul, looking out at the row of empty red seats.
"True. But it's not that I didn't have the time, I just didn't have the money..." The words that fall from Jinsoul mouth hit Jungeun a lot more than she had hoped they would. She had never really known the amount of privilege she had compared to Jinsoul back then.
"W-well surely your father may have-"
"My father's a deadbeat Jungeun, you've seen him. He's a crook who made his way into the castle off of money, my money...." Jinsoul sighed, continuing to feel the red velvet that brought her a sense of comfort.
"I wonder if that's why Heejin never liked me. I wouldn't like me either" Jungeun was still speechless from Jinsoul words. She never knew how much information she would get in a matter of one sentence, but she cared for Jinsoul. It was hard to see her longtime friend feel...distant.
