"Horseback riding....how interesting" Hyunjin mumbles, seeing the annual schedule for the competition that afternoon.
"Ah. See, that's where you're wrong. It's horse racing instead" Sakura insisted, standing next to both Jungeun and Hyunjin as they brushed their teeth.
"Potato, Tomato, same thing Miyawaki" Jungeun replies, spitting out her fizzy toothpaste into the sink in front of her.
This was a task she had already done many times before. Every heir and royal was trained in horse battle and she and Hyunjin had been doing this since they were young. She already hated this competition as it is and doing her regular Thursday routine didn't make her opinion more open.
"Also, you don't have to stand with us all the time, Sakura....it gets creepy" Hyunjin states, washing her mouth out as she stares at her servant, smiling at her through the bathroom mirror.
"Oh don't be silly siblings. Any time spent here is less time spent with our ruler..." Sakura states as there was a hint of bleak in her voice. Tzuyu was never exactly the easiest to deal with, so the girls had known where she was coming from.
"Fine." Hyunjin sighs, fixing her hair in the mirror along with Jungeun once again.
"You know what I find funny," Jungeun says out of the blue. "What?" Hyunjin questions, brushing her hair as she awaits her sister's response.
"How we're siblings yet I look nothing like you, neither mom or Minju. I don't even think I look like father..." Jungeun says and Hyunjin grows a bit silent.
Yes, that was a good question. But it was a matter of if Hyunjin knew the answer or not that brought a thick and tense setting.
"Yeah, but you look like grandfather" Hyunjin says, brushing her hair with an almost blank expression.
"I guess, but all the females in the family all look so similar and then there's me...stuck with the visuals of my grandfather. Maybe I'm adopted..." Jungeun was truly the only one to laugh at the joke she had made, Hyunjin rather just chuckled slightly and continued brushing her hair.
"Anyways, what time does the competition start?" Jungeun questioned, fixing up her pajamas.
"At 3pm sharp" Sakura announces proudly as Jungeun then faces her sister with a bright smile. "Welp, you prepared to fail with dignity, sister?" Jungeun says and Hyunjin hesitantly shook her head yes.
"Born ready."

"Good afternoon Citizens of Nostalgia" Mark shouts aloud to the audience that sat in rows and rows around the horse racing track.
Back at it again as they say. Hyeju and Sooyoung were up early for practice that morning once again. But unlike the last time, Hyeju was ready. But also unlike the last time, Hyeju had gotten no sleep at all...
Let's just say when you're related to a perfectionist such as Myoui Mina, your chances of slip ups around her were limited to one at all times. Minus that if she's in a bad mood.
So when the yawning that came from Hyeju's mouth was more vocal than she had expected, she was a bit embarrassed to see the other heirs looking her way.
"Tired?" Jinsoul questioned the heir she stood next to. "How could you tell? Is it obvious?" Hyeju turns to Jinsoul and a small gasp escapes her lips before she covers her mouth quickly. "No~...." The girl lied but Hyeju was too tired to notice.
"As you all know, today's challenge is Horse Racing. Each and every heir will be given their assigned horses that have been given equal amounts of training for an equal race" Mark starts off.
