It was 3AM and me and my boyfriend Poe Dameron were sneaking out of the base again. I loved my family but they were always protective of me. I sighed at the thought of my dad and uncle gone but Poe knew what was on my mind and led me up a hill. "Where are you taking me?" I asked smirking. He smiled and covered my eyes. "Well I thought since we couldn't take an X-wing after the incident, but we could see the stars from the base." He uncovered my eyes and showed me the beautiful view on top of the hill.
I was awe struck.
It was incredible.
Poe sat down and I sat down next to him still amazed. He started to randomly point out different systems and planets.

"Where is she?" A voice said below the hill. "Shit." Me and Poe said in unison. It was my mom. The General-princess herself. "I know a fast route back to my room." He suggested smugly. I rolled my eyes playfully and followed him back to the base quietly.

He shut the door and smiled. "You think she saw us?" I grinned to myself. "No, but now we don't get to see the stars." He pouted. "Thats where you're wrong, Bb-8!" I whispered for the droid. He rolled over. "Pull up a star map. Any." I looked up at Poe. He laid down and pulled me to him. "It's close enough." He whispered to me. I smiled as he rested his head on top of my shoulder as I laid with him.

We had fallen asleep together and it had to have been morning by now because someone came knocking at Poe's door. "Poe, have you seen (y/n)? She wasn't here last night." Leia was upset I could hear it in her voice. "She's fine Leia, she's a woman." Poe spoke tiredly. I smiled at his words. The door burst open and Leia was standing there. "Poe Damero-" she stopped talking when she saw me. "H-hi mom." I smiled and waved shyly.

"What were you thinking!" Leia yelled as she was walking down corridors holding my wrist. I didn't object to anything. She was my mom. I was her daughter. "Are you gonna say anything!" She yelled as she made it to her own room. I stayed silent trying not to cry. "Look, (y/n). I know you don't like my overprotectiveness but, I don't want to loose you like I did your brother." She looked down. I didn't talk. Because actions speak louder than words. So I hugged her. I knew she missed Ben, dad, Chewie, and Luke. It was all so much she could bare on her little shoulders. "I'm not young anymore mom. I can handle myself." I spoke into her hair. "I know (y/n)." She smiled sadly. "I love you mom." I pulled away from her. "I love you too baby." She rubbed my shoulder up and down before letting me leave.

I was always a shy person but at this moment on I was going to get over my fears. I was currently searching the base for the only man I'd ever love more than my dad. "You!" I found Poe and pointed at him through a crowd. He looked scared. I stomped up to him and grabbed his collar. Eyes were on us and I didn't care. "(Y/n)..." he whispered. I shook my head and kissed his lips passionately. He grabbed my waist and held me too him. Applause and whistles were given off from the crowd as we stood in the middle of the landing bay by Poe's X-wing. I leaned back against his ship and smiled to myself. I had just kissed a man, more important the man I love. In front of the whole rebellion. Poe was still frozen in place. "Did. Did. Did you just kiss me?" He was dazed. "I did, yes." I looked up at him. He looked down and smiled. "This is why I love you." He grinned and kissed me again.
