I waited in me and my husbands shared room anxious as hell. He had gone to Scariff with a team to get the plans. Of course I would be nervous so to calm myself I fidgeted with my necklace. "Mommy?" A little voice spoke next to me. Looking over I saw my 6 year old daughter, Rayna looking up at me. Her lips formed a small pout. "Come here baby." I placed her on my lap and let her hug my chest. "Is daddy going to be ok?" Her little eyes looked up into my (e/c) ones. She had her fathers brown eyes. "I hope." I kissed her forehead and she giggled. The sight of her and her laugh made me forget my anxious behavior.

"I'm sorry."

I cried out as I heard the news. Rayna cling to my side as I broke down on the floor. He was gone. The mission killed him. Tears flooded my vision and I held Rayna against me. She was clueless with her child brought naive ness. "Mommy?" Her chin quivered as she watched me. "Oh Rayna. He's not coming back." I saw tears fall down her face before she clung to me again. My fingers clasped the necklace around my neck. Cassian gave it to me on our 3rd anniversary. I ran my fingers through her (y/c/h) hair. "I'm so sorry." I staggered.

Rayna POV (14 years old)

"Mom?" I yelled through the house. No answer. I ran to her room immediately and saw her laying in her bed motionless. "Mom?" I placed my hand on her shoulder and she flinched. "Mom, are you thinking again?" I grabbed the necklace from her hand. She looked in my eyes and started crying. My eyes always reminded her of him and I hated it. "Mom, you have to move on. Please. It's been 8 years. Sooner or later you'll realize he doesn't want you to be stuck on him. He wasn't you, us, to be happy." I pulled her from her bed and sat by her. She wiped her tears. "Thank you Rayna." She hugged me. "It's ok mom. I miss him too." I whispered. "I love you." "I love you too."

20 years later...

"Hello Rayna." Her weak voice said. "Hello Mom." I leaned down and hugged her.

"It's ok Mom." I rubbed my eyes. "You can go." I held her hand tighter as she let out her last breath. Letting my dam break in cried into her chest like I was 10 again. My husband held me to his side. Something in her hand fell. I picked it off from the ground. It was my fathers necklace. Wiping my tears I put it on. My husband smiled and hugged me. He loved my mom just as much as I did.

Your POV

"It's ok Mom. You can go." She whispered. I sighed and closed my eyes, never to open them again.

A bright white light filled my vision. "Good morning (Y/n)." A soft yet familiar voice said to me. "Wake up darling, we have so much to catch up on." I opened my eyes fully. "Cassain!" My lips met his and I smiled and hugged him. "Oh! I missed you so much!" I didn't want to let him go, the fear of him disappearing flooded my mind. "Come, there are some people I'd like for you to meet." He led me from the bed to a door. Opening it more light flooded into the room and figures of so many others were made present.

"They've wanted to meet you for some time."
