Memory Lane | (Kagami and Catra)

-Catra's POV-

"How come they get to go in?" I hear a girl shouting in a whiny voice behind me as the door closes. The room is thick and hazy with smoke making it almost impossible to see anything. I can hear distant chatter coming from somewhere inside of the smoke and my ears perk up at a familiar sound. 

"You really could do a better job of getting into character" and my body freezes as I recognize the voice. Suddenly, the smoke clears revealing a large group of people, Kagami at the center. She has some teapot in her hand and immediately drops it as she recognizes me. Kagami runs towards me, throwing herself around me in a tight hug. The other Princesses give me a surprised look, totally shocked that I even let her get this close to me. I feel my cheeks burn red as she pulls away and I manage to say, "nice to see you too". 

*Kagami's POV*

"You're really here! How did you even know?" I exclaim, excited at the sight of Catra. "Frosta told me," she says, pointing to some girl with blue hair. It was painfully obvious that she was younger than the rest of the group. I take a quick look at the girls that came with Catra and I give each of them a smile. Just then, the group lets out gasps of shock and I turn my attention back over to the couch where my siblings and team were. All of the girls' eyes are on Double Trouble as they sit back, a cocky grin on their face. 

"You know Double Trouble?" the purple one shouts and I'm confused on why it's such a big deal. "Yeah," I say turning my attention to Double Trouble and giving them a serious look. "They are my stagecoach and makeup artist," I say walking back towards my seat on the couch. As I sit, Double Trouble stands up and says, "Looks like this stage just became a little too crowded for me," as they advance towards the door, confidently. Catra's eyes turn to follow them as they leave, her hands clutching into tight fists at her sides. "Nice to see you again too, Kitten," they say, their tail leaving a lingering touch on Catra's shoulder. Double Trouble stops in the doorway and turns their attention to my siblings and me. They give us their usual bitchy smile and say, "See you tomorrow my Kash Klan" and they turn to flutter down the hallway. "See you later T Squared" we call after them eventually turning our attention back to Catra and her friends. 

-Catra's POV-

There's an awkward silence at the leaving of Double Trouble and all I can think about is the last time we saw each other. The memory gives me chills and I look up to see Kagami watching me closely. She looks worried but doesn't say anything. She claps her hands and says, "okay", holding it out in her usual awkward manner. Kagami looks around the room before finally speaking up. "Why don't you guys join us for dinner?" she asks, looking around the room at each Princess. They exchange an excited glance and immediately accept the invitation. I look over to Sparkles who just seems frustrated and tired and I watch as Bow places a caring hand on top of hers. She smiles and leans her head on his shoulder gently. 

"We'd love to join you!" Scorpia speaks up and then pauses, a gloomy look washing over her face, "But I don't think there's a car big enough to take all of us" she finishes, motioning around to everyone. Kagami gives Scorpia a sweet giggle and says, "We don't need a car." Kagami turns her attention to the other people in the room and instructs them to grab a person. We all exchanged worried looks before turning our attention back to Kagami and the rest of her group. They all start making their way towards somebody, each of them holding out a friendly hand. Kagami walks over to me, holding her hand out the same way and giving me a soft smile. I hesitantly take her hand and she takes a place on the side of me. "Ready?" she asks with a sparkle in her eye and I gulp and shake my head nervously. I close my eyes and just like that, I materialize in a huge white dining hall. 

*Kagami's  POV*

"You can teleport?" the red one with a tail and pincers shrieks in excitement. "Yeah, we can," I say chuckling. My siblings waste no time taking their places at the table and I look over to find our assistant Zhu Li standing on a nearby wall. "Hi, Zhu Li!" I call out to her, trying to gain her attention. She immediately runs over to me and greets me. "Please let our chef know that we have guests joining us for dinner tonight and please, send him my apologies for the last-minute notice," I say to Zhu Li and she nods, turning to run away to deliver the message.
