Internal Damage | (Catra)

(We beez inside her head now y'all)

"Oh, poor little sister," a daunting voice says, "Did you really think it'd be that easy to escape?" the voice continues; "You were beloved in my sight, a true treasure, and this? this is how you repay me little sister?" he says with a menacing laugh. I immediately recognize the voice as Horde Prime and I feel a familiar fear begin coursing through my body. 

How am I here right now? How is this happening? are the only things I can manage to think about at this point. I look around me and I'm being held by a bunch of clones in a deep green pit. I struggle trying to break free but that only makes me weaker. "Sister, please don't struggle. You know I hate to see my siblings in pain" Horde Prime says with an evil grin, all four of his eyes locked on the sight of me struggling. Suddenly, I hear a voice call out my name. "Catra," the voice cries softly, I begin to recognize the voice. It's Kagami, I instantly feel a new fear paralyze my body and I'm unable to speak. "Catra," she cries out again this time with more concern. I find the strength to speak and I yell, "Kagami, Kagami I'm here!" Suddenly the green pool lights up with electricity and I'm zapped until I can no longer breathe from the pain. I pass out and suddenly awake in a huge field. I immediately recognize the field as the Whispering Woods and I start looking around. 

"Kagami?" I call out, no response

"Kagami!" I say again this time almost in tears. Suddenly, Kagami comes running up from behind me and tackles me with a hug. 

"It actually worked! Like it really really worked!" She says beaming with pride her hands on her hips confidently. "What worked? Where am I?" I ask angrily. Kagami steps back, surprised at my lack of happiness. "Why are you so angry?" She asks, there's an emotion in her voice that I don't recognize. "What's going on? Where am I?" I ask again, still angry but mostly confused. "We're in a dream spell," Kagami says quietly. "A WHAT?" I shout at her. 

"A dream spell" she repeats slowly as if I'm some sort of idiot. "I heard you the first time," I say back at her my voice dripping with attitude, "What the fuck is a dream spell?" I spit at her. Kagami doesn't say anything she just blinks, something in her eyes I'm unable to recognize. Suddenly she turns away from me and says, "Don't you ever curse at me again. If it's such a huge problem to be here," she pauses and turns to face me, "to see me, then I have no problem ending the spell right now" she finishes and lifts a hand. I immediately reach out to grab her wrist to stop her mostly afraid that if she does end it, I'll be back with Horde Prime losing every piece of myself, my mind, slowly. 

"It's not that I don't want to see you," I start slowly, "It's just you literally put the words dream and spell together and magic has never really been my strong suit" I finish. I look up to Kagami and see that she's still facing me, my hand still gripped around her wrist. She looks down at her hand and then back up at me. "I'm sorry," she says quietly, "I was just so excited to see you and thought of a plan so quickly that I didn't even realize how you might feel with me literally just taking control of your mind. I probably could've just like called or something" she says starting to look away from me because I can tell she wants to cry but she doesn't. "It's okay," I say, "Wait, you-- you took control of my mind?" I ask her realizing what the hell she had just said. She purses her lips in some awkward way and begins looking around. "Um, well, yeah," she says awkwardly holding out the yeah for much longer than she needed to, "basically, a dream spell is when I take control of your mind and place us in a dream created off a shared memory we have" she explains as if what she was saying was the most rational thing I could ever hear. 

"What are you?" I say to her knowing that there's fear, confusion, and anger all in my voice and all over my face.
