it was now 2:23 in the morning and suna was finally pulling into his apartment complex's parking lot. he looked over to chou who had slept the entire ride and was still asleep.

"hey, chou." he said as he lightly shook her with a hand he placed on her shoulder.

"mmm" she mumbled back, still half asleep.

"hey can you wake up for one second?" suna said causing her to open her eyes and look at him. "we're at my apartment okay? i'm going to go inside and get your necklace while you stay here. then i'm going to take you home alright?" he asked even though it wasn't really a question. he wasn't gonna let anything happen tonight, it felt wrong. like he was taking advantage of her.

"you're leaving me?" chou said with a shaky voice. she was barely awake despite her eyes being open.

"no, i'm not leaving. i'm going to get your necklace. i'm coming right back." he said, getting nervous since she sounded like she might cry again.

"please don't leave me." she said and gripped his arm as her eyes started to tear up.

'oh fuck.' suna thought and began to panic.
"chou please don't cry. i'm literally just going upstairs and i'm coming back then i'm taking you home. i'm not leaving you." he said, regretting ever letting her get this fucked up.
'i'm never drinking with her again.' he thought.

"do you promise?" she said with tears still pooling in her eyes.

"i promise, i would bring you with me but you can't go up two flights of stairs right now." he said and grabbed her shoulder as reassurance.

"...okay." she said and laid back down.

suna reached over the console and spread the blanket back over her again so she wouldn't be cold. "just relax here, i'll be right back i swear." he then opened his door and stepped out of the car.

'i should've never taken the fucking necklace and made her go to the stupid party. god, i never know when to stop.' he thought as he climbed the stairs. 'now i'm out here acting like i'm dating her. carrying her and taking care of her, i look so stupid. christ.' he unlocked and opened his door, closing it behind him. he walked to his room grabbed the necklace and left the apartment; closing and locking the door.

suna walked up to the car and unlocked it using the door's keyhole. he didn't want to use the button because he was afraid the horn would startle chou.

"hey i'm bac—" he began to say until he saw chou fast asleep once again. she had fallen asleep even though he'd been gone 2 minutes tops. 'all that fuss just to go right back to sleep.' he thought and got into the car to start it up. he began to drive toward chou's apartment, which was actually not far from his own. they both lived near inarizaki's campus. suna just lives about five minutes closer than chou did.

after the short drive they arrived at chou's complex, chou still in a deep sleep.

"hey, chou. we're at you're place." he said which surprisingly woke her up. he didn't even have to shake her this time.
