chou walked to the station, she checked her phone and the time said 8:08.

'alright so i'll get to the school around 8:18, i'll have plenty of time to find my class.' she thought as she boarded her train. she walked a few seats away from the entrance, having a wide variety of seats since not many people were on this early. she sat in a seat next to the window and stuck her airpods in, listening to 'love on the brain' by rihanna.

she decided to check her planner since she had nothing else to do during the ten minute ride. she read through her calendar seeing she needed to go to the office before class to get assigned her public service project for this school year. chou had done public service last year as well, knowing it would help her get into college.

she looked up from her planner seeing the train had almost filled up from the stops it took along the way. she noticed they were approaching the last station before the school and decided she should go ahead and start putting her belongings away.

the train came to a stop and the doors opened. as she was putting her planner and headphones in her school bag she couldn't help but notice an annoying sound coming from outside the train in the station.

"squeak squeak squeak squeak"

she looked up to see a boy about her age trudging into the train absolutely soaked. she looked to her umbrella and thanked the lord she had remembered hers. she turned to get another look at the boy and couldn't help but notice his brown blazer.

'oh, he goes to inarizaki too. how did someone stupid enough to forget an umbrella in a typhoon get into inarizaki' she thought, which made her chuckle as she observed the wet uniform.

her laugh made the boy whip his head over. he just stared at her blankly for a second, an unreadable expression suddenly coming across his face. he then turned back to look through the window.

'why the hell did he look at me like that, i'm not the one who's dripping wet...oh well, looks like we're about here anyway.' she thought as she stood, the train came to a stop. she grabbed her bag and umbrella and exited the train. she popped open her umbrella as she walked toward the school.

she was almost to the entrance when she realized she had lost sight of the boy. suddenly feeling a splash of water hit the back of her bare legs she tensed up and turned to see the same boy running toward the school.

"ah shit sorry! i didn't mean to step in the puddle!" he yelled as he carried on.

"tch. idiot." she whispered to herself as she arrived inside the school, stopping a second to wipe the back of her legs. she looked up to the clock on the wall which read 8:20.

'damn, i still have to go to the office too.' she thought as she started to speed walk to the front desk.

"ah! shishido-chan! how are you sweetheart?" the woman at the front desk called to you as you walked in.
"hi! good morning! i'm well and hope you are too." you replied back, all the school staff loved you since you were always respectful.
"yes i am well, thank you for asking! alright, you're here for you service project correct?"
"yes ma'am i just came to see what i will be doing this year."
"alright, let me look you up. one moment."
she started typing on her keyboard as you checked your phone, the clock said 8:24. leaving you six minutes to get to class. 'shit! well there goes my time to find the classroom.'
"well shishido-chan there seems to be an issue." the old lady said to you.
'great, today is really going my way huh?' you thought.
"oh, what seems to be the problem?"
"well all the service projects are taken, more students signed up this year than ever before."
"oh well, is there anything i can do?"
"well yes, but i don't know if it would be appealing to you."
"whatever it is ma'am you can sign me up for it, i just want to help people!" she said with a forced smile.
'dammit! i just want to get these credits for college, i have to!' she thought.
"alright here, i'll get you signed up quickly since it's already 8:28."
"okay, thank you so much."
'and now i'm going to be late too.'
the front desk lady printed off the paper and handed it to chou after putting her signature on it.
"go ahead and sign it for me shishido-chan, oh and by the way, since i squeezed you in you can't change your project or drop it."
"yes i understand, thank you so much" she scribbled her signature on the form quickly knowing she was going to be late, she then bowed and started to leave.
"oh wait! ma'am could you please tell me what my classroom is?"
"oh yes dear, let me see... it is class 1-A."
"okay, thank you! have a nice day!"

'SHIT! 1-A is all the way across the building! i'm going to have to run!"
