SUMMARY: AS YOUR LIFE QUICKLY FADES AWAY, DREAM CONFIDES HIS FAITH IN A NOT-SO-TRUSTWORTHY PIG IN SAVING THE ONE HE'D SO FRIGHTENINGLY PUT HIS LOVE TOWARDS.

For a brief moment, you could've swore that you were in fact dead. You were completely out of it of course, but in the short frame of time that you had been clinging to life, you'd remembered feeling nothing but calm. Weightless- almost.

However, the moment of euphoria was short lived. For when you woke up from your self induced dream, you'd felt the most excruciating pain one could ever bear to endure. You tried to scream out in pain, but from the combination of your sore, throbbing throat and a stick lodged in your jaw, it was utterly impossible.

You once again tried to move, but both your arms and legs were restrained leather ties, tied neatly in knots that'd been connected to your bed frame. Your limbs began to feel weak, and as you caught against the restraints, sweat poured down your forehead, stinging against your exposed skin.

You forced your eyes open, feeling as if they were going to bulge out of your head. Dream's voice was shaky, but still demanding. "Sh-she's awake! You gotta stop, she won't be able to handle it!"

With the slightest turn of your head, you saw Dream, covered in- what you assumed to be your blood. The normal shade of neon green he wore had been stained, muted, by a deep shape crimson.

He stared at a cloaked figure who stood to your left. You hadn't the strength or will power to turn your head again, and after all- if you were going to die, you'd rather die seeing Dream's face than that of a total
stranger.

A white cloth covered the lower half of your abdomen, which had been thoroughly stained in blood as well, which left you completely exposed from the waist up. The arrow was still lodged under your ribcage, and you could feel it protruding deeper with every slightest movement you attempted to make.

An unfamiliar voice spoke. "If it goes any deeper, it's gonna puncture her heart. I've gotta keep going." The pain subsided for a second.

The cloaked figure who'd take upon the job of trying to remove said arrow hadn't been making much progress. They started to become worried. Worried that if they'd taken up any more precious time, you'd be too far gone. In a fit of frustration, he yanked his hooded cloak off, revealing him to be- Technoblade?

You felt a nervous pit in the bottom of your stomach. And whether it'd been from not eating for the prior 12 hours, or the fact that a murderous Pig was about to perform surgery on you; Either way you were terrified.

He spoke in a monotone voice. And as he began tugging gently at the tail of the arrow, he returned his attention to Dream. "Now she's really gonna scream." He motioned him backwards. "If I were you, I'd take a step back." As instructed Dream took a step back, but still close enough to wear he could keep a tight hold on one of your restrained hands. "What do you mean by, 'now she's really gonna scream'?"

Techno pried the wound open with a pair of silver clamps, and started slowly cutting into your bruised skin with a scalpel, going around the arrow. "We gotta get the arrow out somehow, now don't we Dream?" The sensitive skin around the arrow was mostly numb, so thankfully you didn't feel the process before.

He returned the scalpel to the tray beside him, and took a two hand grip on the arrow. "Okay, now take a deep breath." You complied, and looked to Dream. He seemed to be almost as disheveled as you were, but out of remorse he uttered, "Don't worry, it'll be over before you know it." For the sake of the moment you forced yourself to wanna believe him.

Techno let out a heavy sigh. "One, two..," You braced for impact. "Three!" With the count of three he yanked on the arrow, causing you to scream bloody murder. It was the most painful excruciating thing you'd ever experienced, and with the rate he was going, he wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon.

Dream looked traumatized. Though your vision had been blurred by tears, you could see his expression quite clearly. Techno continued pulling on the arrow, digging it through your flesh, millimeters at a time. The entire time you screamed at the top of your lungs, until it became too much to bear. "Ah ah, bite the stick. That's what it's in your mouth for."

You spit the stick out of your mouth and your screams filled the room with a sound of torment and pain. "Make it stop! FUCKING MAKE IT STOP! Dream it hurts so bad, make him stop!" He tried comforting you any way he could, though there wasn't much he could do. "I, I can't. Just hold on, please."

You felt your entire body twitch, as you did your best to try and squirm away from the pain. Your back arched as you left out one final yell, even though the horrible burning sensation in your throat had made it difficult to do so. The arrow wasn't more than halfway out, but inevitably Techno finally stopped.

With an aggravated huff, he retrieved something from a sealed chest beside him. "I really didn't wanna have to do this," He pulled out a vial of dark lilac liquid, and returned to your bedside. "But I guess we have no choice."

He handed the vial to Dream. You were grateful you finally got to take a breath. Techno gave Dream instructions for the strange potion. "Open her mouth and pinch her nose." Dream did so, preparing to pour the liquid in your mouth. Techno facepalmed. "For fucks sake Dream- tilt her head back! If you put it in like that it'll just trickle out of her mouth!"

He followed his further instructions, apologizing for his lack of attention. "Sorry, sorry." The thick, goopy liquid was freezing cold, but refreshing to say the least. As it went slowly down your throat, you felt everything go numb once again. It took a few seconds for the potion to take effect, but once again you were shot back into your peaceful dream like state.

Dream caressed the back of your hand. "Back to sleep, sweetheart. It'll all be over soon."
