SUMMARY: AFTER A LONG NIGHT SPENT OF COMFORTING YOUR FUSSY DAUGHTER BACK TO SLEEP, WILBUR STEPS IN AND CALMS THE TWO OF YOU BACK TO SLEEP.

As you lay on Wilbur's chest sleeping ever so peacefully, you were pulled from your sweet slumber by the sound of your 3-week old daughter crying from her nursery in the other room, and for the third time that night, you pried yourself from Wilbur's arms to go comfort her.

With the sudden feeling of you not being on top of him, he woke up, confused as to why you were leaving the warmth of his body once more. You pulled back the covers and planted your feet firmly on the floor, even though with your lack of sleep your vision had been blurred significantly. "She's awake? Again?" He asked with a yawn, propping his upper half against the various amounts of pillows lying adjacent to him.

You slid on a pair of slippers to shield your feet from the coldness of your hardwood floor, taking slow steps towards your daughters room. "She probably just wants to be held," Will slipped on his glasses and pried himself from your bed as well, following quickly behind you. As you approached her room, she only seemed to cry harder, making you feel awful for taking such a long time to come to her rescue.

You pulled her from her swaddled position in her blankets, cradling the back of her head with your palm, and holding her close to your chest, trying your best to calm her down. "Hey honey, don't cry, mama's here," You patted her back, as she continued to scream into your chest. Your efforts were getting you nowhere, but thankfully Wilbur was there to inevitably save the day for the both of you.

He swooped in from the hallway, taking your daughter from your arms. He pulled a blanket from her crib, shielding her from the cold of your apartment, and rocked her back and forth while cradling her in his arms. As he continued to coo at her, she stopped fussing and lay half asleep against Will's forearm.

He smiled, and whispered to you, "Go lay back down sweetheart, I'll get her to sleep." He knew just now exhausting taking care of her was, even with his help, and was open to the opportunity of giving you every chance he could to let you relax. He placed a kiss on your shoulder, before ushering you out of the room, and back to your bed.

You went to lay down, cuddling against his pillow, and before you knew it you'd fallen back asleep. You wondered why your daughter favored Wilbur over you so much, but to be practical he did spoil her just as much as he spoiled you, and seeing as much as he did for your daughter- even when you were pregnant- you couldn't blame her for choosing him over you.

After dozing off for an hour or two, you woke up to Wilbur slowly sliding himself back under the covers beside you, and quickly apologizing for waking you up once more. "Ah- sorry sorry." You rolled over on your side, cuddling up next to him, and putting your face in his chest. Through a raspy voice you asked, "Finally got her to sleep?" He nodded, increasing the closeness between the two of you, and throwing an arm around your waist.

"Yeah, she's okay now, thanks to you." You laughed softly. "Me? You were the one who had her." He rubbed your back slowly, making your eyes feel even heavier than before, as you began to fall back asleep in his arms. "She cried for a little bit, but as soon as I started talking about you, she seemed to be completely fine." He laid his head back down on his pillow. "She loves you so much- maybe even as much as I do."

He laughed to himself, and shook his head, knowing that you were already fast asleep. "Nah, there's no way that's possible, I love you so much more."
