Meeting narti

As the ship flew trough space William sat there as he made sure the course was right. Sure he could warp there, but having an unconscious passenger who was greatly wounded it would be a bad  idea. Also the last jump took a good amount of fuel, so he had to be careful with how much he used. As he sat there looking into the vastness of space, he began to feel his eye lids grow heavy as he yawned. He was exhausted after the emergency surgery, from his knowledge there wasn't anything of danger in this sector so he should be fine. He turned on auto pilot and made his way to his room, as he walked down the hall he looked over to see the mystery woman still out cold. Luckily the trip to the trade post would take around 4-5 days so it would be plenty of time for her to wake up and for him to get some answers. He then continued walking to his room, as he entered and removed his armor a leaving nothing bit his normal clothes on he quickly drifted off to sleep.

2 days later...

In the medical bay narti began to stir in her sleep, as she began to move kova woke up to see her. He climbed over to her face, as he gently rubbed his face against her head. After a bit though narti stopped moving as she woke up, she quickly sat up breathing heavily as if she just had a nightmare. She felt something rubbing against her arm, she knew it was kova since he was the only one with her. As she began to pet him, she reestablisheda connection with kova. After a bit she could now see her environment, which looked to be a run down medic bay. She wasn't in the pod anymore, so someone must have saved her but who. As she saw the area, she also noticed the bandages around her midsection. She remembered how lotor attacked her and left her for dead on that ship, she swore the lotor would suffer for this. But still, Someone had treated her wound, but who, who would be willing to help a now fugitive of the galra. Maybe they kept her alive to get some kind of reward, she had to be careful. As she sat there though she heard foot steps in the distance, she quickly laid back down and acted as if she was asleep. She was still connected with kova though so she could still see the area, as the foot steps grew closer she braced herself for who ever would enter.

"Yaaawwwwn morning cat, is she up yet?" Narti was a little surprised by what she saw, it looked to be a human wearing old cloths standing in the door way. He had brown hair and a bit of a beard on his chin. Kova just sat there looking at this man, as he walked in the room turning on the lights. He then leaned over narti, examining her face to see if there was any sign she was awake. Narti prepared to attack the moment he tried something, but he simply backed away and just let out a sigh.

'It's been 2 days now, normal someone would be conscious by now, I hope she's ok.' Narti could hear his thoughts, which surprised her a bit since she was expecting something else. As the man went over to the monitor in the room, kova moved to where he could fully see him. Narti had train kova to do this after a long time, at first she would signal him where and when to move but know he does it himself. As kova looked at the man, narti could see his face full of worry as he typed away at the monitor. He then looked over at the cat and smiled lightly, reaching out his hand to pet kova.

"Don't worry little guy, she wake up eventually I'm sure of it. Wish I knew who she was though, might make getting her help easier." Narti was shocked at this, he didn't even know who she was. Sure he could just be lying in the case she was awake, which she was, but something felt real about his voice. As he turned off the monitor and left the room he looked back on last time right at narti. He sighed as he continued walking down the hall, once he was gone narti hopped off the table as kova walked over to her. She careful began to sneak out of the med bay, and trough the hall of this ship. The halls of the ship looked similar to the med bay, they looked old and worn down. As she continued to sneak she heard the sound of chopping, as she examined the area through kova she saw that she was in what appeared to be the kitchen. She saw the mans back to her as he seemed to be preparing a meal. She quickly and carefully snuck past him and went down a ladder to the cargo bay. If the pod was still intact she might be able to fly it out of her. As she turned to face the cargo bay with kova on her shoulder, she saw the escape pod now dismantled and stripped of all it's important machinery. That man must have dismantled it so she couldn't escape, she had to think of something else. That's when she realized that she was on a ship already, if she could take out that guy she could pilot this ship to somewhere safe. As she climbed the ladder, she stopped midway as she heard footsteps near her. She careful lifted kova up and to the upper floor so she could see what was going on. Kova sat there as he looked around, narti saw that the man wasn't in the kitchen no so he must have moved. As if on que, the man walked out of the hall with a worried look while holding a laser pistol. He must have gone to check on narti again, but when she wasn't there he started to panic. She had to be careful, sure she was a more skilled fighter but with the injury she wouldn't be able to much.

"I know you're here somewhere, look I don't mean you any harm. I just want to help, no other motives I swear." He said to the empty room. Even though he looked nervous, he had a calm voice almost as him he was fully relaxed. After hearing his words, narti began to wonder if she could trust this man. As he walked around a bit narti thought of what to do, she could either trust him and show herself or rush up and take him by surprise. Her galra training was telling her to attack, but she felt as if she could trust him. She slowly began to climb up the ladder, tapping on the bars to signal where she was. The man turned around to where she was climbing up the ladder, but he didn't point his gun at her. Once she was fully up the ladder, she stood up with kova now on her shoulder. They stood there in silence for a bit, until the man began to speak as he walked a little closer.

"So you're awake now, I'm guessing you were awake when I checked on you this morning." He said, as narti simply nodded yes. She was going to trust him, but she wasn't going to reveal her abilities to him yet.

"So, are you going to try and take me down so you can control the ship?" He said as he readied his pistol, but narti shook her head no. In response the man lowered his pistol as he walked closer.

"Alright, so I can trust you to not do anything to drastic right?" He said still a little cautious, but as narti nodded he head yes he seemed to calm down a bit.

"Well alright, guess I should introduce my self. My name is William Moore, and if you're wondering yes I did save you and treat your injury." He said as he presented his hand to narti. She was hesitant at first but she eventually took it.

"Alright now would you mind telling me your name so I can know who you are?" He said as he looked at her waiting for a response. But it never came, he then noticed he start moving her hands in a unique way, it appeared to be sign language.

"Huh, so you can't talk. Well here use this to write done stuff, I unfortunately don't know sign language." William said as he presented her with a small tablet used of notes. She nodded and took the tablet from his hands. After a bit she wrote down two names, both had an arrow pointing at her and the cat.

"Ok so you're narti and the cats name is kova. Hm, well good to meet you narti." He said as she smiled and nodded back at him. Though while standing she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, causing her to fall down. William quickly went over to check on her.

"Damn, the pain killers must have worn off, here let me help you to the medic bay." He said as he put one of narti's arms around him, helping her up and taking her to the med bay. Narti looked over at him, even though she could only see him threw kova, she still looked over at him. She was confused, never before had someone tried to help her like this. And normal galra solider would have killed her, tortured her, or worse. But this man, even though he didn't know who she was, was willing to help her. She smiled as she sat on the med bay tablet and William search for more pain killers.
