One of a kind find

Talking with narti

We currently see William in the kitchen cooking some food, for both him and narti. It's been about 3 days since he's found and helped her, though he doesn't know much about her. Currently she was resting in the spare room he had built into the ship, it was meant to be for a crew member but since he worked alone mostly no one really owned the room. As William finished cooking the food, he scooped it out and onto a plate. Once he did he carried said plate to where narti was, once he got to the door he knocked to grab her attention.

"Narti? It me, I brought you some food to eat." He said to the closed door. After waiting a bit he heard shuffling, as the door opened revealing narti. She was no longer in her uniform though, instead she was wearing a light grey sweat shirt and some baggy pants. William had lended her those clothes since her uniform had been torn and soaked in blood. He was glad to see her up and about but he was a little worried if she was in pain or not.

"Well it's good to see those cloths fit you, I was worried that they might not fit right." He said smiling, but narti just stood there emotionless. William felt a little awkward at the silence, so he just presented her the meal he prepared. It looked to be scrambled eggs from an alien creature, cooked meat in the shape of bacon, and some toast made from a plant similar to weet.

"Um, well hope you enjoy the meal. I guess I'll see you later." He said as he began to walk out, but narti stopped him by grabbing his sleeve. He turned to see narti writing something on the tablet, when done she presented it to William. 'Thank you' William read, he then smiled as he looked back at narti. "You're welcome, and when you're done just put it in the sink ok." He said as narti simply nodded. He smiled as he walked off down the hall.

Narti then closed the door and turned to look at the room. There was a simple bed, with room for one person, a small container for gear, and a small table where the food from William was. Narti as a bit confused by its appearance, but it smelled delicious. Since she couldn't see normally, all her other senses where higher than a normal persons. So the smell of the food was very strong to her, as she sat down kova jumped on the table and stared at the food. It definitely looked strange, but narti hadn't had and food for 3 days now so she began to eat. She used the fork to scup up some of the eggs, when she ate it she was amazing by the flavor. It was the best meal that she's had in a while, not even the galran meals she had were this good. Before she knew it she had eaten the whole plate, she sighed in relief as she enjoyed every bit. She smiled to her self, for the first time in a while she was happy. As she sat there though the thought of lotor attacking her appeared, and her smile turned into a frown. She was going to find him, and make him pay for betraying her. As she felt anger build up inside her, she felt something in her hand. Upon inspection, it was the fork she used which was now severely bent. She sighed as she put the fork down, she lost control, it hasn't happened in so long she forgot how strong she could be when she was angry. She decided to explore the ship a bit to clear her head, as she picked up kova an put him on her shoulder.

She exited her room and began to walk down the hall, her foot steps not making a sound from her training. She entered the lounge area and saw a built in seats and the kitchen to the side of it. She walked over to the kitchen, placing the plate and bent fork in the sink. She then walked a little further and entered the cockpit. She didn't see William so she guessed it was on auto pilot, though she did notice the strange communications device built into the wall. Upon closer inspection it looked to be a galra communicator, but it seemed to only be able to receive messages not send. Before she could investigate any further she heard the sound of something small exploding. She quickly rush over to the origin of the sound which was in the cargo bay. She quickly went down the ladder and looked for where the explosion was, then she saw smoke coming from a room. She opened the door releasing all the smoke, she covered her mouth and nose and moved past it. After a bit the smoke began to leave the room allowing narti to see, then she noticed two things. The first was William on the ground with dust and smoke all over him, the second was a metal work bench which had bits and pieces of something on it. She put two and two together and figured that William caused the explosion. She walked over and bent down to see if he was ok, luckily he had a welder mask on so he seemed to be fine. After removing the mask she saw him unconscious with a bit of blood on the side of his head. She began to shake him to try and wake him up, and after a bit he opened his eyes and began to sit up.

"Ugh, well that didn't go as planned." He said as he rubbed the side of his head. Narti then pulled out her tablet and began to write something down. She then showed it to William to read. 'What exactly happened down here?'

"Oh I was just working on something to either help the engines use less fuel or to be a very powerful explosive. I'm sure you can figure out which one it turned out to be" he said as he had a cocky smile. Narti then began to write something else. 'Do you always try to make new gadgets or was this just from curiosity'
William read the message and smiled as he began to stand up. "A little bit of both I guess. You see I'm a scrapper, I go around The universe finding broken ships and taking anything of value. Then I go sell what I collected and whatever I don't sell I use." He said as he began to clean the work bench. Narti began to continue writing. 'Is that why you have a galra communication device on this ship?' He read, as he realized she must have explored the ship a bit. "Ya, I use it to receive any messages from galra fleets. It helps me steer clear of any galra areas, as well as know where the next battle will be so I can collect what remains. It's also how I found you." He said as he finished cleaning. He then turned to face narti, as he thought it was time to get some answers.

"Tell me narti, what were you doing at that ship? More importantly how did you get that injury?" He said as he stared at her. She seemed to almost freeze up, she wasn't writing anything just standing still. William thought that she might not want to talk about it you, but he still needed so answers. He finally gave in and let out a sigh. "It's ok, if you don't want to tell me that's fine. Just know you can trust me, I know you're a galra soldier and what ever happened to you was probably pretty bad. So just come talk to me when you're ready ok?" He said as he rested a hand on her shoulder making her jump a bit. He then let go and began to walk out the room and up the ladder.

Narti just stood there, still and quiet, sure she could tell him everything but what would he say after that. If he got rid of her, where would she go, she had no where to go. The galra were searching for her and the others, not to mention she wasn't even sure what her home planet was. The galra was all she had, and now she was considered a fugitive. That's when she realized something, she was free, free from the galra's orders, free from lotor's command. She was now free to live a new life, and it was all thanks to William. If he didn't save her life then she wouldn't be here right now. That's when she decided, she would tell him everything.

She began to climb the ladder with kova still on her shoulder, she the walked over and saw William in the pilots seat. She got his attention by tapping his shoulder, as he turned he smiled as he turned back to switch the ship to auto pilot. "So, you ready to talk now?" He said as he was now facing narti. She held the tablet to her side, this was it no going back after this. She let out a sigh, as she put away the tablet. *yes William, I'm ready to talk.*
