The plan

Will walked out of verno's room, now with a plan to get the codes. As he walked down the stairs, as he walked down though he noticed kova at the bottom of the stairs. He was a little worried, so he hurried over to him. Kneeling down he looked at kova, "where's narti?" He wasn't sure why he was talking to a cat, but he had a feeling kova was no normal cat. Kova got up and began walking over to the bare, Will followed until he saw someone with full black armor and a few empty cups. 'Oh no.' Will walked over as kova jumped up on the table, Will placed his hand on narti's shoulder causing narti to look over with a half full glass and half of her helmet opened. *hhhhey Will, I Wes wondering when you'd beeee back.* she said, her voice a little slurred even though it was through wills mind. "Sigh alright narti come on we have to go." He said as he helped her up. *nnnnooo, I neva get ta drink when I was on duty* she said as she wobbled a bit before falling. "Narti, are you ok!" Will ask as he checked on her, only to see her snoring. Will sighed, both glad she was fine and a little annoyed that she got drunk. Will picked her up and carried her out bridal style, while kova jumped on will's shoulder. As he walked out he was surprised to see the lights dimmed down to almost simulate night time. Since the trade post was home to most people, they simulated time so that it could feel more natural. As Will walked down the dime empty streets, narti began to stir in his arms.

*uuuughh* she groaned from the splitting headache she had. "Well you woke up faster than I thought." Will said as he looked down at her. She just rested her hand on her helmet. *ya, my body is able to clear out most poisons fast and alcohol is included* she responded as she soon realized she was being carried. She reestablished her connection with kova, as she then saw Will carrying her bridal style. She then quickly rolled out of wills arms landing on her hands and backflipping on her feet, Will was really impressed since she just woke up from passing out early. Though Will thought for a second that he saw a blush of narti through the open part of her helmet. "Well impressive, but why'd ya freak out?" Will said as kova hopped off his shoulder. *i-i was just s-startled is all, anyway did you get the intel?" Narti said as she picked up kova. "Unfortunately no, verno needs the new frequency codes so he can receive the galras messages." Will said as he continued walking with narti following behind. *so wait we have to break into a heavily guarded galra communications base to get the new codes for him?* she said in a shocked manner. "Yup, and in return he'll give us all the galra flight schedules." Will said as he walked pass the many parked ships in the ship yard. *im guessing you have a plan then, since you agreed.* she said as Will pressed a button on his helmet, causing the cargo bay doors to open. "That I do, but we'll talk in the morning. For now get some rest, you'll need to be at your best tomorrow." He said as he walked up the ramp into the cargo bay. Narti seemed shocked, almost a little insulted. *I assure you I'm perfectly fin-aahhh!* she said before she tripped and fell, but luckily Will caught before she hit the metal ground. "Says the lizard with the hangover. Look go get some sleep, I'll get things ready ok." He said in a stern but soft tone. Narti just nodded her head yes, as Will helped her up and to her room. Once there she removed her armor and placed it in the container in the room. She then sat there on her bed wearing only her the sweat shirt and baggy pants, her head still throbbing from her hangover. Kova jumped up onto her lap and narti began to pet him, she seemed troubled by something so kova naturally came to comfort her. She was trying to remember why she ended up getting drunk, she was upset about something but she couldn't think of it. She decided to not think about it and get to bed. As she slid under the bed sheets and drifted off to sleep, as kova curled up next to her.

In the morning...

Narti began to wake up as she could smell delicious food in the air. She sat up from the bed, her entire area pitch black. She went to feel where kova was, after tapping her hand on the sheets a few times she found where he was resting. After getting him awake she established her connection with kova, now being able to see. After getting out of the bed she pulled her hood up and walked out her room to the kitchen. When she got there, she saw Will cooking some food. She leaned against the the counter without Will knowing she was there. Will was wearing a white short sleeve shirt and grey pants. As narti watched Will cook, she noticed how well toned his muscles were. The armor and trench coat hid a lot of his physic, so this was the first time she saw him without his armor. For a human he was incredibly fit, possibly more than a normal galra soldier. As narti looked she also noticed some scars on his arms, some of the scars were hid by his shirt. She began to wonder how he got his scars, was it from an accident or from an attack.

"Um, narti is everything ok." Will asked, snapping narti out of her thoughts. She could feel herself blush a bit, as she realized that she was leaning over the counter. As she stood up, she fumbled with the strings of her hood. *i-im sorry, I got lost in thought and um* she said in a nervous tone as Will walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, hey it's ok. Anyway would you care for some breakfast?" He said with a smile. Narti simply nodded, she wasn't sure why she was getting all nervous around him though. As narti sat down at the table, while Will prepared put the food on the plate. He then placed the plate in front of narti, she looked at it and it looked like tan circles staked onto of each other. *what are these?* she asked as she poked it with her fork. "They're called pancakes, is a meal from my home world." He said as he took a bit of of the pancakes. Narti was a bit hesitant, but she cut a piece and ate it. She was amazing by its taste,  it was sweet and it was like eating a cake. She then began eating the rest, as her tail started swaying back and forth. Will noticed this and smiled, as he continued eating his meal. After give narti seconds, thirds, and fourths, Will was now cleaning the dishes while narti sat and let out a sigh of satisfaction. "I must say I've never seen someone eat so much food at once, you got 2 stomachs or something." He said as he washed the frying pan. *heh, no I've just never been able to eat food that tasted so good. The meals on the galra cruisers was never this good.* she said as she scratched kova behind the ears. "Ya that sounds like the galra, basic meals with the needed nutrition but zero flavor." He said as he dried his hands. Narti looked up though in a little shock though. *that's actually pretty accurate, how did you know.* she said as kova looked towards Will. "How, I just heard from a few galra that got lucky and left the empire. Anyway let's talk about the plan for getting those codes." He said as he walked over to the lounge area, narti followed while holding kova.

Narti sat down as Will pushed a button causing a large table to emerge. As he then placed a small device on the table, after pushing a small button, it began to projected a 3D hologram of a galra base. "This here is our target, a galra communications base that will be In charge of changing the codes. Luckily for us it's not to far from here, the tricky part will be getting in and through security." He said as he zoomed in on an area of the base. "The plan is to fly the ship and enter through here, I'll have the ship cloaked so the won't notice. When we're in we go to the main control room, that's where the codes will be." He said as narti focused while petting kova. *but what about any guards, how do we get past them?* she asked. "Well verno said that the bass has mostly sentries and only a few guards. We get in, sneak past the sentries, get the codes and then get out." Will said as he closed the hologram. *alright sounds good, but what's the risky part?* narti said as she leaned back into the coach. "The risky part is that you'll be coming with me, the galra are searching for you so if you get caught here it's over." Will said in a stern tone almost upset. *relax, everything will be fine, besides I didn't become a general by standing around. I'll be fine will, now let's get going we don't have much time to waste.* narti said as she got up and walked past Will. Will sighed, he wasn't sure why but he just had a bad feeling, all he could hope for is that the mission went as planned.
