"How the actual hell is this a normal thing people do. I have never been through this much emotional turmoil in my grand lifetime."

"Togami. Just because you're well renowned for not having a heart, and you just managed to grow one, doesn't mean other people have to struggle like you do."

"Why am I even doing this? I can very much just ignore the fact I ever felt anything at all and live my life as I have been. Why are you making me do this, Celestia?"

"Because, I find it quite amusing seeing you suffer. Mostly because you do not have the first clue of how to be gay."

"It's because all of that is a waste of my time."

"Yet here we are, Togami. Sitting in the library as you have a crisis about how to ask Makoto to the prom."

"I didn't know it had to be more than just a question! I mean, wouldn't a simple 'will you go to the prom with me' suffice? But apparently everyone goes all out, so I have to make sure I am the best for Makoto."

"Well, promposal week starts next week, where everyone asks who they want to the prom. I suggest you ask earlier in the week instead of later, though. I don't doubt there are more people pining over that sunshine boy."

"Well they can try taking him from me, but we all know Togami's don't let what's theirs leave so easily."

"Yeah yeah you can talk all that shit whenever your promposal is actually planned out, cause right now you've got nothing."

"Tsk. I hate commoner traditions."

Makoto's POV

"Why are you nervous?"

"I'm not."

"Well you clearly are, it's not as if you're even trying to hide it or anything. With your pacing around the room and your nail biting."

"Curse you and your constant observations, Kyoko."

"Just tell me what's wrong."

"Well... I have someone I like, and I really am hoping they'll ask me to the prom next week... but I also don't really have very high hopes of them asking me. Would they go with me if I ask them? Should I? What if they ask someone else? I-"

"Makoto, trust me. Byakuya Togami is not going to ask anyone else to the prom."

"Wha-? How'd you...?"

"Again, it's obvious."

"Well, what do you think I should do?"

"Do you think he'll say yes if you ask him?"

"Well- no. Not really..."

"Then I say you wait until next Friday, or the end of promposal week. And if by then he still hasn't asked either you be brave and ask, or if you think he clearly doesn't want to go with you, just let him go. I'll go with you to the prom if no one else will."

"Kyoko, you and Celeste are dating. Wouldn't you two go together?"

"Funny of you to think Celestia would ever go to a big formal high school social gathering that isn't gambling related."

"Fair enough. Alright, I'll do what you said, thank you."

Shit, it's Monday, the first day of promposal week. How am I supposed to do this? It's so exaggerated and unimportant.
