I Have My Makoto... (Part 2)

*Makoto's POV*
Day 1: cough and sneeze.

It is the day after I decided to not release Byakuya, so more accurately it is a day over the two week contract period.

And so far, after a day, all I have is a cough and a sneeze. So far nothing bad.

Byakuya forced me to stay in bed for the remainder of yesterday but today we are going to go out to town per my request. I'm taking advantage of these next few days because I know that towards the end of the week I will be too weak to go out. So today, since the last time we went to a public place my demon called everyone a commoner, we are just going to walk around town.

"Have you been in this town before with past summoners?" I skip along beside Byakuya as we walk along the sidewalk.

"I don't think so. Believe it or not, my past summoners wouldn't let me go outside much unless it was for work. Summoners don't tend to be very amiable, unlike you. That's something I love about you, how kind hearted you are." I blush at the word 'love'.

No, demons can't love, he's just being nice.

We continue laughing and talking all around town as I show Byakuya my favorite spots and famous landmarks.

Day 2: migraine, stuffy nose, and sore throat.

I wake up and groan. My throat is closed up and my head is pounding. I feel like I'm hungover but I didn't even drink anything. And as expected, my cough and sneeze didn't go away either.

I get up and walk to the kitchen. I grab two Advils and start pouring myself a glass of water.

"Are you okay? Why are you taking medicine?" I nearly have a heart attack when Byakuya suddenly sneaks up behind me.

"Don't scare me like that! I have a headache, is all." He shuffles beside me and puts his hand on my forehead.

"You've also been coughing and sneezing since yesterday, are you coming down with something? You have no fever though, that's good." I give Byakuya a bittersweet smile.

If only you knew what was actually wrong with me.

"Well, I'll be fine. What do you want to do today?" My demon scans the room and eventually his gaze lands on me.

"Since you could be getting sick, lets just do something simple today. Lets go buy ingredients and make an extravagant feast." I raise an eyebrow at Byakuya.

"For just two people? How much food? I don't know how much I can actually cook us." My demon chuckles and crosses his arms.

"It won't only be you cooking, you imbecile. We will make this feast together." I smile and blush at the idea of cooking with Byakuya. I nod, which causes Byakuya to smirk and push his glasses up.

"Very well, we must leave now if we want to catch the train in time." I nod.

Wait...

"The train?"

"Yes, my hometown in which I lived in while I was alive has the best markets for fresh food. We will leave early so we can be back in time to cook."

We get in the train and sit down towards the back.

"It is going to be a few hours until we get there, so I hope you don't mind that." I smile at Byakuya and pull out my earbuds.

"No, it's okay." I offer Byakuya an earbud and he takes it, we then listen to music as the train starts to move. (What are they listening to? Y'all tell me, I have fun reading your answers)
