"You've trained hard. You've gotten stronger, tougher, faster. You've done your best. You're ready for this tournament am I right?" Sensei said, he was standing on top of a car. We were in a junk yard for some reason.

"Yes Sensei!" We all shouted confidently, I was standing in between Hawk and Miguel. "Wrong!" The beer can he threw at us landed in front of me, getting on my boots, making me scowl slightly but I said nothing.

"Your best ain't shit! If you wanna win the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament, you gotta give me better than your best. Which is why from now on, you're gonna get my worst. Do you understand?"

"Yes Sensei!"

"Are you losers?"

"No sensei!"

"Are you nerds?"

"No sensei!"

"Are you sure?"

"No sensei!" We all shouted confidently, just answering blindly. Sensei face palmed, sighing.

After that he made us train super hard, this felt like I was in pe again but harder which sucked. He had us run through tires, which I sucked at because my legs were short and the tires were unusually large.

Then we got to smash a bunch of the cars since they were in the junk yard. It was so much fun because I got to smash things.

"Hey Selena watch this!" I heard Hawk say, making me look over at him as he smashed a window, I grinned and did the same although it was a lot more violent since it was the front part. I laughed, jumping off the car since I was on its roof.

"Come on princess let's go move that ass!" Sensei shouted at Miguel as he quickly but cautiously had to walk across a beam on top of a dumpster.

I followed behind him, my legs wobbling and I nearly fell over the side but I caught myself and jumped off the rest of the way, Miguel caught me and I grabbed his arm. "Jesus fuck." I mumbled, letting out a breathe but quickly inhaling sharply again when I saw Hawk's foot slip.

Then Sensei made us go back to the tires, I complained but followed behind Aisha, yelping when she tripped, bringing me down with her. I groaned when Miguel and Hawk and literally everybody else landed on top of me. "Get your fatasses off me!" I shouted in a frustrated tone, huffing.

"You wanna win. You gotta be hungry. You guys hungry?" He gave us all pieces of beef jerky, I held it away from me since I hated these.

"Good, cause so are they!" Sensei said with a slight smirk, making us all look at him confused. He suddenly blew on a whistle and we all heard the sound of barking getting closer.

I looked over to where the noise was and saw a pack of stray dogs running towards us, growling. "Oh shit!" Aisha shouted and all of us scattered and ran off.

I just stood there, still holding the beef jerky when I was suddenly knocked down by one of the dogs, I screamed until the dog just ate the beef jerky. "Oh ok." Then he ran off and I quickly jumped up onto one of the cars since I didn't think the other dogs would leave me like that.

I suddenly heard a familiar scream and I snapped my head, my eyes widening when I saw it was Hawk. I jumped off the car without realizing, "Off! You fucking dirty mutt!" I shouted at the dog, kicking it on the mouth and hearing it whine and run away.

"Hawk!" I shouted at him, seeing that his leg was bleeding. I kneeling down, lifting his pant leg up a bit to look at it. He's definitely gonna need to go to the hospital to get a rabies shot.
