————When we arrived at the LaRusso home we were both greeted by Daniel, "Hey Jose!" He greeted my dad, doing a bro hug thing, then shaking hands with my mom. When he got to me he just smiled, "Hey Selena." He greeted me, holding his hand out. I didn't take it, just nodding and walking past him.
We all walked outside because they were using the grill, I sat down beside Sam's little brother, not even looking at him because he was an annoying little shit who tried to grab my boobs once when I wasn't looking.
Somehow after a few minutes Daniel started talking about Cobra Kai, which immediately got my interest and I began paying attention.
"Y'know it's bad enough that this monster is teaching kids. Now he's somehow convinced the All Valley Board to let Cobra Kai back in the tournament." I frowned, not saying anything because I didn't want to get yelled at by my mom when we got home. I saw Sam frowning too.
"Oh that's horrible, they can't let them back. They're nothing but a bunch of bullies." Daniel's mom said, I scowled slightly, not being able to believe that they were judging Cobra Kai so quickly. We were nothing like the stories Daniel had told us, Cobra Kai had changed.
"They can't all be bullies right?" Sam asked, making me nod at her, I knew she was dating Miguel now, Miguel definitely wasn't a bully. Last week he gave me his money to buy lunch food. Sam knew I was in Cobra Kai, when she spoke she looked at me, I smiled back a little.
Daniel's mom looked at her, "Trust me sweetheart. You don't know the half of it. Those Cobra jerks made my little boy's life miserable." I sighed, taking a bite of my hamburger to keep me quiet. These people were stuck in the 80's, even if Johnny was a complete asshole before he was a better person now... kinda.
I chuckled softly as Daniel's mom began arguing with Amanda, smiling a little and finishing my burger. I had finished it quite quickly, wiping my mouth I looked over and saw my mom and Daniel chatting. They were high school friends and their relationship was cute they were like best friends. I remember my mom telling me once about how my dad was jealous of him when they had first started dating but now they were close friends.
I didn't really want to be here so I left and got up, walking over to the couch to sit there when I someone put their hand on my shoulder. I quickly turned my head and saw it was Sam, "Oh. Hey." I said awkwardly, she smiled at me awkwardly. "You wanna go hang out upstairs in my room? It's been awhile since we just hung out." I nodded slowly, we hadn't hung out alone since we were 11.
The moment we were far away enough she began complaining about how Daniel was talking so much shit about Cobra Kai. "Seriously he's going against everything he taught me. He always told me not to hold grudges, to keep a balance but he won't even give Cobra Kai a chance." I nodded, a little confused as to why she was venting to me of all people.
"So I assume you haven't told your dad about Miguel?" I asked her, sitting on her bed with my legs crossed. She sighed softly and nodded, "Well maybe if he meets Miguel he'll see that Cobra Kai isn't a bunch of bullies." I suggested.
She smiled a little, "That's a good idea. I just don't want him to be rude to Miguel." Sam definitely needed her father's approval, which sucked cause she definitely wouldn't get it.
"Well if you think that you should talk to Miguel, so he at least knows why. I talked to him during practice he's wondering why his girlfriend's parents know nothing about him." I said, crossing my arms and leaning back a little to look at her.
She nodded, "Thank you, Selena." She smiled at me and I smiled back slightly, just nodding. "No problem."
After that we ended up talking a bunch, just catching up or talking about our boyfriends. Yes I know very cheesy girl talk but I liked bragging about Hawk to her.
