Severus sat in the corner of the library, reading. That was how he spent most of his free time. Or else he would be subjected to intensive bullying that sometimes bring him face to face with death. But nothing is worse than the marauders, who not only physically abuse him but mentally too.
Eversince him being gay came out, everything just doubled. Courtesy of Lilly Evans and the Marauders. He had his group of friends who protected him like a pearl. He was grateful to have friends like them.
He hadn't eaten in two days, he didn't feel like eating. Nobody would, if they had a summer vacation like him.
The wind rushed in to the library, bringing a chilling feeling with it. Sev suddenly felt cold and decided to leave for the day. That was a wrong move.
He bumbed into none other than
his nightmare. James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettrigue stood there, their wands pointed at him." Well well, what do we have here boys. Little Snivellous lost his way" . Black said walking closer. Severus couldn't prevent the tears from blinding him.
"Oh, little Severus needs his mommy". James told before shooting a spell at him. Severus felt a sharp pain surging through his body. His already weak body would collapse any moment now.
He ran.
Severus ran with all his might. He was not going to fall in front of stupid griffindors. The world was spinning around him. He was able to make out a blurry outline of the Slytherin common room before passing out.
That was how Lucius found him after fifteen minutes. He was leaving the forms to submit his charms essay when he was greeted with his best friend on the floor with dried tears .
Back in the griffindor dorms,
Lilly burst into the common room with her two best friends, Molly and Mary. She spotted Remus Lupin beside the fire.
" Hey Moony, have you heard? Snivellous is in the hospital. Serves him right". She said as she flipped her long hair and sat down next to a very annoyed Remus. He was tolerating her as she was his best friend's girl friend.
The common room opened to reveal the other three marauders. Lilly launched herself on James and started snogging. Peter and Sirius gagged at it. However Remus sat there, deep in his own thoughts.
What happened to Snape, was his friends responsible for that?. He cared for the Slytherin. It's just that his attempts to prevent the bullying never hits the spot. Where do you think he gets the necessary potion to help him keep his furry little problem at bay.
" You alright mate? ". It was Sirius.
" Did you do something with Severus?". Moony asked, his eyes narrowing at his friends.
" Yeah. We just teased him and James shot him the spell you were talking about yesterday. Snivellous just ran from there". With that Sirius burst into fits if laughter.
Moony's face paled in recognition. The spell shows ones fears and all the worst experience. He can guess what Severus saw.
He quickly stood up and attempted to leave but was stopped by Sirius.
" Get your hands off me Black. I told you to leave Severus alone. Now let me go, I wish to check on him". He said before yanking Sirius's arms from him and closing the common room door at his face.
Remus ran through the halls to the hospital wing. He saw Lucius and Regulus Black standing outside the wing.
" What happened Lucius?". He asked the blond. It was Regulus who resonded.
" My brother and Potter happened". He said through gritted teeths. Lucius just sighed.
" He was malnourished and passed out due to emotional al overload.". He said his eyes moving occasionally to the hospital wing. Moony also joined the Slytherins, waiting for his friend to wake up. They were later joined by the black sisters who were ready to burn the entire castle down.
That night Remus got into his dorm after midnight.
" Moony?". He heard Sirius from the next bed.
" Go to sleep Sirius". Remus said before drifting off to sleep.
