Severus opened his eyes with great difficulty. His eye lids felt heavy.
He looked around. He was in the infrmary. So someone might have carried him here. The last thing Severus remembered was the sharp pain in his body.
He heard footsteps shuffling closer. It was Moony.
" Hey Sev. You alright?".
Severus smiled at Moony. He was too tired to talk, and besides his mouth felt dry.
" About Lilly, she was arrested for using cruciatus curse on you".
Severus didn't feel happy about it, but he wasn't sad either. He would prefer to think about something else right now. And that included the Griffindor seeker.
" I should leave. Somebody else is here for you". Moony said as he grabbed his books and left Severus alone.
Severus closed his eyes and inhaled sharply...
" Sev?".
Severus knew the voice. Infact he loved that voice.
" I like you".
Did he just hear it. Severus refused to open his eyes. After all, he would prefer darkness than the rejection he was sure to get.
He felt something wet press against his hand.
He saw, James, sitting on his knees, his lips pressed against Severus' hand.
James had tears running down his cheeks.
" James?".
Severus tried sitting up. James quickly shot up from is position and gently pressed Severus down.
" You shouldn't move".
" James?".
" I like you Severus...If this was a prank I wouldn't live to see another day. I don't know how I survived the wrath of your friends especially Moony"
Severus stared at the boy sitting at the end of the bed.
" I like you too"
That was all it took.
After six years, James had repeated everything he told just now with a wedding ring in his hand.
" You may kiss the groom"
