Sorry it took me so long to update
Shadow's POV:
I felt the gaze of someone's eyes. I looked up slightly to see Y/N about ten feet away from me with that rat, Jinx. Y/N didn't look too happy around him. Which makes sense, since I've noticed he follows her around a lot.
They entered the theater and I was left by myself again, no eyes staring at me. I sighed. Getting up, I realized how sore my back was. I ignored it, walking home. But there was something...strange. I felt a weird sensation in my chest, sort of a fluttery kind. I shrugged it off and entered my living quarters. I laid down on my couch, that feeling coming back.
"Ugh, I'll figure it out in the morning," I thought out loud, drifting off into sleep.
Your POV:
I sat beside Jinx, watching the boring movie. I felt my eyes getting heavy and made no effort to fight sleep. Soon, my eyes closed and I slept peacefully.
I woke up to Jinx shaking me awake.
"Hm?"
"You slept through the whole movie. You don't look too good," he answered.
"I-I'm fine."
He put a hand to my head.
"Hally bajeebas!"
He grabbed me and ran out, panic written all over his face.
"J-Jinx? Wh-What's wrong?"
"You're burning like hell. I need to get you out of here quickly and get you to a hospital."
He ran out towards the nearest hospital and soon, a few minutes later, I was in a hospital bed.
Shadow's POV:
A few days went by and there was no sign of Y/N. Or Jinx. I was confused. Y/N usually was always walking around and I didn't see her anywhere. I considered looking around one more time until I saw the faker.
"Maybe he knows where she is," I whispered to myself.
I walked up to him and asked him straight out, "Faker, do you know where Y/N is?"
He looked at me and said, "She's in a hospital due to a severely fatal fever. Why do you ask?"
I just stood there. A feeling of fear washed over me.
"Shadow?"
A voice rang out, but I didn't hear. I was breathing heavily, fear pulsing through me. Everything was blurry. Then darkness came.
