Y/N's brother kept waving it over her head and she reached for it, fully knowing no matter how much she tried, he wouldn't give it back to her.
He pushed her to the floor, knocking her unconscious. She woke up in a TOTALLY different place, and when she looked down, she saw she was wearing

And her skin was green! Or more like her FUR was green! Where did she get fur?
"Hey, you there!" someone screamed at her, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Uh, who's talking?" she asked.
"Look a few feet behind you."
When she did, she saw a red...THING...in front of her! Was she on some sort of alien world because NONE of this looked like her world.
"Wh-where am I? My brother pushed me too hard and knocked me out, and this doesn't look familiar."
"Mobius, and currently on Angel Island. MY island! So, GET OFF MY island!"
"Uh...ok? What am I supposed to do? I mean, first of all I don't know where to go. And second, why do ya call this your island? Ever heard of sharing?"
"*groan* Look, kid, that's not your business. I'm just supposed to protect the island."
"Ok, I get it. Someone gave you a job to do you promised to do it, and you're going through with that promise. Pretty noble of you, if ya ask me!"
"No one did," he said harshly.
"Ouch! Well, that burned!"
"Huh, very funny. How 'bout I transport you to the surface of Mobius, and you can go from there?"
How's he gonna do that? Y/N asked herself.
As if answering her question, the red living being picked her up bridal style and 'flew' to the ground. He carefully put her down and was about to leave when Y/N stopped him.
"I never got your name," Y/N said softly.
"Knuckles. Knuckles the Echidna," he answered, smirking.
"W-wait, y-y-your an ech-echidna? I thought they only existed on Earth and were more animal, less talking humanoid creature thing!"
"Um...well, can't explain everything, can we?"
"No, guess not. Will I see you again?"
She was kinda hoping he'd say yes. Was love a first sight real? 'Cause it really happened to her!
"Probably. I mean I'll be 'round."
Yes, yes, YES!!! Y/N screamed in her mind (ow, my ears! My poor, sensitive ears).
He was off, and Y/N was left wandering around Mobius alone. Maybe not the best choice...
