Part 8 : More

Evelyn floated above the ground, making her way slowly to the lift. She didn't know what to think, only that she knew she was probably in love. She was too happy to cringe at the thought, as she turned and watched the doors start to close on the lift. As she deeply sighed and continued on in her lovesick daze, she saw someone quickly approaching the lift. She squinted her eyes to see who it was, dressed in a maroon jumper, and black jeans. He was sprinting to the lift, and just as the doors were about to close, he jumped through and landed on the floor. It was Dan. Evelyn, astonished, stared at Dan on the floor, panting, and trying desperately to catch his breath.

"Dan! What the hell are you doing? Are you okay?" Evelyn said as she knelt down and held out her hand to help Dan up. He took her hand and she pulled him up with all her weight.

"I'm fine," Dan said, still panting a bit. "I'm fine." He said as he brushed himself off. As Dan looked up from his sweater to her, he slowly stopped cleaning himself off. Their eyes locked for a second, and his pupils grew and shrank, his lips parted and his breath shaky. Evelyn smirked, and Dan smiled back. They stood in the rising lift in silence, when suddenly Dan leaned down and started to kiss Evelyn. She was startled at first, but after the shock subsided, she closed her eyes, put her arms around his neck, and begun to kiss back. Her heart started to flutter again, and her stomach was churning up and down. Dan put his arms around her waist, pulling her closer and closer, kissing her again and again. His lips were soft and his skin was warm, and Evelyn allowed him to draw her towards him, feeling sustained love filling her. She moved her hands to the sides of his face, and against her lips he whispered, "Just don't touch my neck. It's a thing I have." Evelyn giggled a bit back, saying "Thanks for the warning." Evelyn, avoiding Dan's neck, moved her hands through Dan's soft, brown fringe, only stopping when the lift dinged; It had reached the twelfth floor. Evelyn kept her hands on his face, looking with a slight smile on her face into Dan's eyes. She ran her thumb over his cheek, feeling his soft skin. He chuckled a bit, and his eyes creased at the corners.

"All that running for seven seconds in heaven?" Evelyn said, smiling and staring into Dan's glowing chocolate eyes.

"I think it was worth it," Dan said matter-of-factly. Evelyn laughed and took his hand, leading him out of the lift, and slowly down the hall.

"It was quite an effort. I should make it more worth it," Evelyn said as she smiled at Dan, taking him down the hall to her flat. Dan's smile faded, and a look of a nervous panic instantly took it's place. Evelyn turned down the last, long corridor.

"Don't worry so much Dan. I don't do this much either," Evelyn said as she dropped his hand in front of her door, and pulled out her key. She unlocked the door, and opened it up slightly, checking to make sure that there weren't any major messes anywhere. The coast was clear, so Evelyn opened the door wide and entered, Dan following soon after. Evelyn dropped her purse on the counter, and came back to Dan at the door. She put her arms around Dan, and reached her leg around him, kicking the door shut. Keeping her leg around Dan, she reached and started to kiss Dan passionately. She could tell Dan was incredibly nervous, because it took him a minute to reach his arms around her waist again. Evelyn pulled Dan's shoulders closer to her, and he pulled her waist closer to him. She started to kiss him harder, feeling his hands move up and down her back, moving her shirt around. He turned her around, and pushed her against the door, starting to kiss her cheeks, making his way down to her neck. Evelyn kicked off her shoes, still holding her leg around Dan, as he kissed his way back to her lips. He pressed her against the door even more, and in response, she pushed herself off and them into the middle of the room. She continued to kiss Dan as she slowly led him into the bedroom. She started to taste his mouth now: the candy from the film, the mint gum from before it, and the overall warmth welcomed her wholly. Evelyn grabbed Dan by his collar and walked him to the bedroom. She knew what she was doing was against her moral values, but at the moment, all she wanted was to be close to Dan. She'd never met anyone who brightened her day as much as Dan. For the first time in forever, Evelyn felt that someone could actually love her. She led Dan into her room, which was surprisingly clean, which Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief for. She'd hate to ruin their moment by walking into a room covered in dirty clothes, paints and food wrappers. She gave Dan one more gracing kiss before she walked over to the bed, turning back to him slowly, facing him with a seemingly fierce look in her eye. She could tell that Dan was still nervous, but he took a breath and walked towards her despite himself. He grabbed her by waist and pulled her close again, and this time there was no need for encouragement. Dan let his hands free, and they traveled up Evelyn's shirt and all over her back. His hands were warm, just like the rest of him, and Evelyn felt so comfortable in his embrace, she decided she wouldn't hold back. She pawed at the hem of Dan's shirt and took it off, resenting the moment of emptiness between them as she pulled it over his head. He took her face in his hands and started to kiss her again, gently, with more passion and love than any one-night-stand man could ever manage. Now it was her turn to remove her shirt. She grabbed the bottom of her blouse and ripped it off of her body, not wanting to waste another second with him. Dan threw her down onto the bed, and climbed on top of her, kissing her jaw slowly and seductively. Evelyn's back arched as Dan made his way further and further down neck. He was at her collarbone when his cell phone rang. Dan groaned, annoyed and reached into his back pocket to see who it was. He looked at the screen and grimaced.
