*(Hi. Just a quick warning for those of you with sensitive stomachs. If you don't care, go ahead and skip this little message, but for those of you who read this part of the fanfic, and think that the beginning is too graphic, just say so (politely) in the comments below and I will do my best to revise it for you, whether you follow me or not. Thanks. Happy reading!)

Evelyn was watching herself in the mirror again, once again she couldn't bring herself to look at her reflection in the eye, but she made herself look at her disgraceful figure for this special occasion. She had changed into a long sleeved black dress, with maroon knee high knitted socks and black combat boots. She had also painted her nails black, and put on a maroon scarf to match her socks. She was trying her hardest to make herself feel beautiful, but she couldn't muster the self-esteem that she thought she needed. The bottoms of her thighs showed above her socks and below her dress, but thankfully her scars were not revealed. Evelyn hated the way her thighs seemed to explode out of top of the socks, and the way her scarf made her seem so pale. She stared at her ensemble in the mirror, and finally gained the courage to look at her face. When she did, she did not see the disappointing, depressing mess she normally saw. She saw a menacing, evil face, barely recognizable as her own. She stared confused at the relfection, as it revealed a long, glimmering knife from behind her back. She took the knife, and lifted the hem of her dress. Evelyn took a step back in horror, but the reflection just seemed to take a step closer. She smiled maliciously, and looked back to her lower thigh. She lightly ran the sharp blade up and down the area Evelyn was just disgracing, as if to try and taunt her. With every stroke, the reflection pressed harder with the knife, and soon blood was starting to show. Only a few seconds after did the reflection slice clean through her muscle, screaming in agony as she did. A piece of flesh landed on the floor in front of her, and her leg was gushing blood, yet still, she stood there, evilly grinning at Evelyn through the glass. The exposed muscle was pulsing and red, and the pink tinted bone was visible through the gore of the wound. Evelyn took another step back, and the reflection smiled wider. She dropped the bloody knife on the floor, and inched closer towards the other side of the mirror, pressing her hand against the glass. Evelyn was terrified, but she couldn't take her eyes off of the image. The floor in the mirror was barely visible, covered with blood, and the chunk of muscle on the floor near her was turning pale. Evelyn looked into the eyes of the reflection, and saw that instead of a pupil, it had a black slit, like the eye of a cat, or a snake. She - It, stared at her, still holding that horrid smile, and its hand slipped across the glass, leaving a streaking handprint. When it couldn't get any more horrifying, the image leaned closer into the pane, and hissed,

"You didn't like it, so I got rid of it for you. We are welcome." Evelyn's legs trembled so hard that she collasped on the floor. She covered her face with her hands, and started to sob. After she took a couple breaths, Evelyn looked back at the mirror. The gruesome image was gone, but she remained on the floor, traumatized by what she had just seen. The whole experience was unbareable, but the thing that Evelyn couldn't - didn't want to comprehend was the fact that the monster said "we." She was the monster too. The thought caused Evelyn to sob again. She stayed there for a while, until she checked the clock. It was 1:20. Evelyn stood quickly. She wanted to be there first, and early, to seem considerate. Evelyn checked her makeup briskly in the mirror, declaring it good enough. She grabbed her purse, and hurried to the door. As she opened it to leave, she was stopped short. Kipa was standing on the other side of the threshold, with Louis not far behind.

"Kipa! What are you doing here?" Evelyn said, anxious to get this small talk over with so that she could get to the café in time. Kipa turned to Louis, with a dire look on her face. He raised his eyerows at her, and nodded in Evelyn's direction. Kipa turned back, and tried her most positive smile.
