Falling in love with you isn't true
I carefully walked towards you
One step at a time;
Holding my head up high;
Eyes wide open;
Because I was broken
Broken from blind love and empty promises
Broken from the worlds choruses
I saw you, across the corridor, through a window, behind a girl, smiling. You smiled brightly towards everyone, whether they were ugly or pretty. You seemed to be blind to appearance and attentive to character. Your eyes glowed to each person, everyone treated with the same amount of kindness.
I wonder, would you treat anyone differently? Could there be someone to break those boundaries? I wonder, what would it be like? To be special...to someone like him.
My feet, walking on their own, came up to you. You gave me that same smile, that same laugh, that same everything. Something inside me bubbled, something I haven't felt before.
"Just stop!"
Silence, eyes on me, my hands shaking. Why would I say that? I was quick to apologize and left. Speed walking to the bathroom, heart pounding.
How could I say something like that to someone like him? He is an angel, it wasn't on purpose that he treated me like that. He treats everyone the same. It's not like I'm special, I'm just like anyone else. He's the one that is special, yet I said something like that to someone like him.
Footsteps and the door opened.
"Um, Daichi? Are you okay?" His angelic voice rang out in my ears.
Sitting up quickly and brushing off my knees, I opened the door of my stall.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, I didn't dare to look him in the eyes.
A hand placed on my shoulder, soft to the touch. I finally looked up and saw him smiling. The corners of his eyes wrinkled, his one misplaced tooth shown, although he didn't care.
"Sugawara-san?" I called out.
He laughed and reached for the handle of the door. "Please, just call me Suga. Saying all of that extra stuff makes me sound old."
Suga reached his hand to my arm, "I also think we can become good friends. Don't you think?"
Without thinking I nodded. I'm glad that I didn't though, because if I had thought about it then I probably would've said no.
Exiting the bathroom he suddenly looked back at me with his eyes wide. "We're late! It's already 8:40!"
Oh crap! Late on our first day, this isn't going to be good. Rushing with him to our classroom and almost breaking the door down, we panted the moment we got in.
"What on earth is this nonsense?!" Our teacher, half startled to death, yelled at us.
"We are so sorry! It's entirely my fault! Punish me not him!" Suga bowed down to the teacher and I quickly followed.
"Is that so? Then tell me what were you doing?" She asked us.
He looked back up. "I-I...we were in the bathroom having a conversation that I started, and I um kinda continued on the talk then we realized we were late."
She tapped on the desk and sighed. "I won't punish either of you since it's the first day, I don't want this happening ever again. Is that understood? There are two more desks at the back, so take your seats."
"Thank you so much!" We both said.
We walked to the desks and each took our own seats. I grabbed a piece of paper and used my favourite green pen.
Thank you but that was unnecessary.
I quickly passed the note to Suga and he grabbed it as soon as it landed on his desk. I saw him scribbling on the piece of paper and he passed it back.
unnecessary??? If I hadnt apologized immediately then she wouldnt have gone so easy on us!
I rolled my eyes, yeah yeah I'll let you take the credit for now.
Whatever. I'm just saying that next time you don't have to do stuff like that.
sure, sure, grumpy boy.
What?! Don't call me that!
.....grumpy boy.
:(
Aw dont be all sad now. That makes u even more grumpy.
Tsk, we'll continue this later.
So does that mean that u and I are officially friends?
....yeah
I looked at him and he gave me a big smile while he tucked the note in his pencil case.
He sounds like trouble, but I can't help but want to know more.
