As soon as Elizabeth returned to the potions room with the ingredients Snape was standing over a new cauldron, the rest of the ingredients laid out perfectly beside him. Upon hearing her footsteps he turned around, "You ready?" he asked, his face the closest thing to a smile that she had ever seen him wear around anyone other than Lily Evans.

"All ready," she held up the ingredients in a big basket with an excited smile on her face.

The two potion masters got to work after re-reading the directions and sorting out all the ingredients. The room was filled with mumbled, "grind up the occamy eggshell for me?" I'll stir and you add the thyme." and "while you're heating it. I'll powder the common rue." They worked in familiar synchronicity, putting the ingredients together one by one, all very neat and organized, their focus' never straying from the task at hand.

"Felixempra," Snape spoke the incantation while waving his wand in a figure-eight motion above the cauldron. The mixture was a picture of perfection with its molten-gold color. Large drops of the mixture began to leap out and back in like goldfish in the ocean, never once spilling over the side. "It's perfect," Snape stated the obvious, still amazed by their work.

The potion was not as easy as Snape had assumed, but it was not as hard as Elizabeth thought it would be. A potion they could easily make again, but probably wouldn't. Even a Slytherin knew that some strong magic isn't meant to be used all the time.

Elizabeth poured the mixture into 3, perfectly sized, glass viles. She kept one for herself and tried to hand the rest to Snape, who refused both and forced her to keep 2 for herself. "Just in case," he explained with a chuckle.

"Thank you," she removed her eye contact from the small glass viles in her hand and looked into his eyes, "really, thank you. Couldn't have done this without you."

"Hey, what are friends for, yea? Now go knock Potters ego down a few pegs for me, will ya?"

"You got it," she laughed, turning to leave, "Don't forget to root for Ravenclaw!"

"I'll root for any team that's not Potters."

"I know," she chuckled, and with that Snape had the potions room all to himself once again while Elizabeth made her way through the halls of Hogwarts, two bottles of Liquid Luck tucked right into her cloak.

Not wanting to waste any time, she quickly made her way into the closest bathroom, locking herself into the first empty stall. "Let's hope this doesn't work too well," and with that Elizabeth sighed and drank a vile in one gulp.

Already feeling lighter than before, luckier, happier, she made her way towards the quidditch pitch where she knew the Ravenclaw team would be preparing for practice. She got there quicker than normal, people parting for her as she walked down the halls, her feet now somehow gliding their way down the corridors.

She arrived just in time, entering the Ravenclaw locker room as the team was putting on their final articles of clothing. Elizabeth walked in with giddy confidence, Dorcas was the first to notice her presence, but Elizabeth ignored her friend and walked straight up to the captain, Brennan Doyle, "I want my spot on the team back," she demanded with the utmost of confidence.

"Sure," he said almost immediately, "you can even be captain too," Brennan continued to remove the captain band from his arm and place it in her, now open, palm.
