A/N:Before I start writing this chapter, thank you @squirrelmonkey123 for being the first person to vote on this story. You have no idea how much it means to me. Now...
on with the show!

————————————————————————

I punched my opponent in the stomach, before spinning and kicking his face. I turned and saw another charging at me. I slid my foot in a circle on the ground to nock him off his feet, before punching his face and rendering him unconscious. When I looked around and saw no one else, I walked over to the table and hit the timer. It stopped at 2 minutes and 14 seconds. I had found a way to create dummies that moved and fought like an actual person. They had settings; easy, medium, hard, and extreme. I had set up 7 on extreme this time and I got my new record.
After tidying up I wanted to see Eric, so I sat down with my legs crossed, and started to meditate before willing myself to go to Folk.

When I opened my eyes again I was at the top of a hill, above the valley where all of the fallen warriors hang out and relax. I ran down to join them and once I got there I yelled...
"WHAT'S UP PARTY PEOPLE!!!" at the top of my lungs. I few people laughed or came over to me, while others completely ignored me, used to my dramatic acts and entrances by now. I saw Lewis, Amber, Jack and Ricki running towards me. They are my best friends. Lewis had brown hair and green eyes. He was average height with the lean build of a runner. He was the one always cracking jokes and sarcastic comments. He could make the sad and serious moments hilarious. He was dating Amber, who was of Asian descent with dark brown eyes. She is short with and long straight black hair. She is shy and quiet most of the time but has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met. She wouldn't even kill a mosquito that landed on her. Next is Jack. He is tall with the body of a Greek god (or Norse). He is overly cocky to everyone but us. Around us he is playful with only a hint of his normal cockiness. He is with Ricki. She's average height with blonde super curly hair. She's got bluey-grey eyes that sparkle with mischief. She puts herself out their and loves planning pranks. Then there is me and Eric who are obviously together. I am overly dramatic and love to fight and do dangerous stunts. Eric has a very confident uncaring front but is secretly sensitive and cares what other people think. His parents rejected him when he was younger and it broke him. That's why he's built his walls so high, so he can't get hurt again. He also happens to go on random rants about human stupidity or sprout random fun facts in the middle of a conversation.
"Artemis" Ricki said as she snapped the front of my face, gaining my attention.
"Sorry, I zoned out. What did you say?"
"I asked if you wanted to head down to the field."
"Sure, I'd love to, is Eric here yet?" I asked curiously, my desire to see the love of my life making itself known.
"Not yet lovebird, but he should be here soon."
She responded as we made our way to "our spot". Just as we sat down, I saw Eric appear and a smile instantly pushed its way onto my face.
"What are you smiling at" Lewis asked me. Then he saw where I was looking.
"Oh" was all he had to say.
"Get over their and great your fiancé already, we'll be here" Amber told me. Eric and I aren't actually engaged, but we've been dating for over a year and a half so our friends like to tease us about it. I just rolled my eyes and started running.
When Eric's eyes caught mine, his entire face lit up. He started running towards me and when we got close enough I jumped into his arms and smashed my lips against his. He caught me and return the kiss with the same amount of passion.
When we finally came up for air we just smiled at each other, before he set me down and took my hand.
"Hello beautiful" he said to me as we started to walk towards our friends.
"Well hello there good sir" I responded in my best attempt to sound like a person from the 1600s. He merely laughed at me as I payed my head on his shoulder. Our friends seemed to be talking as we approached them and when they finally noticed us Jack shouted in exasperation.
"Finally! What took you so long"
"Oh shut up" I called back playfully.
"We all know you would have taken longer to greet Ricki" Lewis called out. Jack just shrugged his shoulders unabashedly while Ricki rolled her eyes, neither one denying it. We continued on in the playful banter for a few hours before me and Eric headed off to bed. Once we were all warm and cozy I snuggled into his chest for sleep to take me. I listened into his thought before I fell asleep and the last thing I heard before the darkness was You are my angel. What did I ever do to deserve you?
