While we were at lunch break I remembered I had agreed to text Rue and Cam to set time and place for our little reunion. I grabbed my phone and clicked on the messages icon and selected our group chat.

'Hi guys! Soo... when and where will we meet up?'

A few seconds later I got a text. It was Cam.

Cam: 'HOLY SHIT! YOU'RE ALIVE ESMOND 😱'

'Really funny Danzig ._.'

Rue: 'Ok, ok. Focus guys. I say we meet up at Westfield or Beverly Center, what ya say? 😁'

Cam: 'The mall? Really? I'm not going to be your pack mule for all the shopping bags you'll have 😑'

'We're not going shopping dork. We're meeting to catch up since we haven't talk for a while.'

Rue: 'Besides there are more things to do at a mall other than shopping 😑'

Cam: 'True. Alright then... Westfield because free parking lot and food court.'

Rue and I: 😂😂😂😂

'Ok, sounds good to me. I get off work at 6ish so I could be there at 7 if I take the I-10 E'

Cam: 'Great. Let's meet up at 7 at the parking lot.'

Rue: It's settled then!

'Awesome. Ok guys, I have to go back to work. See you tomorrow 🙆 I love you!'

I put my phone back on my pocket and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I got out and there were already customers back in the store.

A guy approached me with a confused look on his face. "Hi." He said, ruffling his hair.

"Good afternoon. Do you need some help with a book?" I said, smiling.

"Um yeah."

"What are you looking for?"

"It's actually for someone special." The guy said looking down.

"Is that special someone a she or he?" I asked.

"A she." He looked at me and half smiled.

"Your girlfriend?"

"Something like that. I never did asked her to be my girlfriend really." He said ashamed.

I smiled. "Don't worry. Sometimes is not necessary to have to level; it's like you already know you're a couple." I looked around the store deciding what a girl would like. When I had a few sections in mind I turned around. "Do you have any idea of what she likes to read?"

"Well... I know she likes Bukowski."

"Oh a poetry girl. You're lucky I am one myself and love Bukowski. I'll recommend you the ones I think are the best." I said, excited. "Follow me."

I took him to the poetry section and knelt as I ran my fingers through the books looking for the one I wanted. I smiled when I found it. 'The People Look Like Flowers at Last'.

"Here." I said handing him the book. "This one is really good and she'll love it. It's one of the latest ones that have been published." I turned around and scanned the bookshelves. "There's another one that she might like to read, specially if she likes darker stuff. It's a raw, lyrical, exploration of the exigencies, heartbreaks, and limits of love."

"I think she needs that one." I heard the guy saying. "I know she has been having a rough time because of me."

I moved the stair we had there to where the book I was looking for was. I climbed the stair and grabbed a copy of 'Love Is a Dog from Hell'. I got down and looked for a few seconds at the book. I had read it the nights I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about Harry.
