I took Raiza's hand and it was so cold. I looked at her face and she had her eyes closed. She looks so pale and fragile.

"Harry?" I turned my head to see who was it reluctantly. All I wanted was to watch Raiza and nothing more. Why do they have to bother me for fuck sake?

I stiffened at the sight of Raiza's mum. "Ms. Irene."

Her eyes were injected in blood; you could tell she had been crying all the way to the hospital. I looked down. I just couldn't look at her in the face knowing it was my fault. I was feeling so ashamed. "I came as soon as you called me. What happened, Harry? What happened to my daughter?"

"I don't know." I said, still looking down. "I-I found her unconscious. She left me a voicemail telling me that she was going to do some errands before heading home because I was supposed to pick her up at work. Next thing I know-" I tried to keep talking but I just couldn't. I had a knot in my throat. I clenched my fists as I felt my muscles tensing up. "I-I'm so sorry. I should've been with her."

Suddenly I felt Raiza's mum arms around me hugging me tightly. "It's not your fault, darling. She's going to be okay. We just have to pray and remain positive." Even if we're completely shattered inside, I heard her finished her sentence in her head.

"When I heard her message I tried to catch her up so she wouldn't go alone. I was driving when I saw her car parked and Raiza wasn't there, that was when I got worried."

"You found her and brought her here, Harry, where they'll take care of Raiza and do everything in their hands to save her. That's the important thing." Irene caressed my back the same way Raiza would've done it. But it felt different. It made me reminisce her touch but it wasn't her, it wasn't my Raiza, it wasn't my angel, and that was when I just couldn't hold it any longer. I bursted into crying as I've never done before. I let myself feel all the pain and grief I was holding back and just let them come to the surface.

"It's alright, darling." Her voice cracked and she started crying as well.

We stayed there crying for a while until Niall entered the room.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt." He apologised. His eyes went to Raiza and I got in between. I wasn't going to let him see her, not after what he had done.

"Excuse me." Suddenly a woman with a white coat entered the room. "Are you Raiza Esmond's mother?" Irene nodded as she wiped away the tears. "I'm Dr. Plack and I'm in charge of your daughter's state. Could you please come out for a second?"

Raiza's mum left with the doctor and Niall and I were left alone in the room.

I didn't even bother to look at him or even talk to that bastard. Instead I sat next to Raiza and held her hand as I placed my head on the bed, looking at my girlfriend. I wasn't going to take my eyes off her face. If she was awake she would blush and freak out because I'm staring at her too much. I bitterly laugh but within seconds that laugh turned into a sob.

I failed you, angel. I promised you that I would protect you with my life from anything and anyone, that I would take care of you, and look what happened... I am so sorry.

"Raiza!" Suddenly Rue stormed into the room and ran straight to the bed and grabbed Raiza's free hand. She looked at me and her eyes were watery. "What happened, Harry? Did Zayn-"

"No." I said. "It was-"

"Me." Niall spoke. "I'm the one to blame. I'm responsible for Raiza to be in a hospital bed fighting for her life right now." He looked at me right into my eyes; I could see the guilty in them. "I let Zayn use my weak spot against me and I myself be blinded by it."
