Raiza's POV

It's so dark. I'm cold. What time is it? How long have I been here?  Did I die?

Millions of questions rushed through my mind. I wrapped my arms around myself, buried my face in my knees, and gasped for breath between my sobs.

Suddenly a series of images passed right in front my eyes, just like a movie. But it wasn't one of those pleasant movies you watch on a Sunday night; it was my life, the minutes before I ended up here.

Niall walked for a few minutes until we reached a fountain where he stopped. He had his back towards me but I could feel he was worried about something; his complexion and body language confirmed that.

I walked towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Niall, is there something wrong?" I asked him. "You seem a little off."

He turned around and looked at me; his blue eyes turned black. "I'm so sorry, Raiza." Niall said, holding back the tears. "I truly am."

With just one quick movement the blond haired demon grabbed me and threw me to the ground. I tried to cut loose from his grip but he was stronger than me. I could feel the skin beneath his hands turning red. It hurts.

"Niall please don't." I begged him. "Y-You're my friend. You wouldn't hurt me. You've always been the one who has saved and protected me."

"I'm sorry. I have to take your soul." He said. "It's the only way to get my beloved Bai back."

"Niall."

"Please forgive me for what I'm about to do."

The last thing that crossed my mind before I closed my eyes was a demon with sparkling emerald eyes smiling with a mischievous grind at me. And then I swore I had heard his voice calling at the top of his lungs.

"Harry." I whispered as the tears streamed down my face. I quickly wiped them away. I needed to get out of here and to do that I needed to be strong.

I stood up and looked around. But how am I going to do it? There's nothing more than darkness; not matter where I look all I see it's the colour black surrounding me.

Black.

A chill went down my spine, just minutes before I felt as if I was being watched. I hadn't sensed anyone else until that very moment. It was clear I was alone before, but not anymore.

All of sudden an almost inaudible humming could be heard in the distance. As the seconds passed I could hear the humming getting louder and louder.

"Who's there?" I asked, remaining calm. If I freaked out it wouldn't do any good.

Soon the humming turned into a song, a sombre song. The melody triggered a memory and my heart started pounding.

"Kagome, Kagome. When, oh when will it come out? In the night of dawn, the crane and turtle slipped." A voice sang the lugubrious melody.

I dropped back down to my knees and covered my ears to shut the voice out. This is not real, this is not real. My mind it's just playing tricks on me. Go away, go away, go away.

A second chill went down my spine, which made me straighten up. I could feel someone was behind me, but I was too afraid to look. I could feel this person's breathe on the back of my neck. My heartbeat got faster, my breathing got agitated, and my whole body was trembling.

"Who's behind you now?" The terrifying voice sang the last verse of the song in my ear.

I screamed at the top of my lungs and tried to get as far as possible from whatever was behind me. However was a futile attempt since as soon as I stood up and took a step forward I felt to the ground.
