We parked near Wilshire Blvd and walked a few meters until we were in front of a huge modern building with palm trees at the entrance and a bunch of streetlights on one side.
Los Angeles County Museum Of Art.
"Oh my God!" I said breathless. "You brought me to the LACMA!" I jumped into Harry's arms and hugged him tight. "Thank you so much."
He laughed and smiled widely. "I'm glad you like the surprise angel. I thought it was a good idea for a date."
My eyes widened in surprised when I heard those words coming out of his mouth. "This is a date?"
The curly haired guy looked at me and frowned. "Um... Well I was expecting you wanted it to be." He ruffled his hair nervous. "I mean... Bloody Satan you know I suck at these things."
I laughed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "It's a date." I whispered in his ear. I could feel the smiling growning in his lips.
I took his hand and lead him inside the museum. The white walls of the building invited you to lay your eyes on all the artistic manifestations displayed on them.
We started walking around the museum focusing on the Contemporary and Modern Art sections on each floors. We both agreed that those were what we both were aiming at. It was so cool finally having someone to do this, go to art exhibitions, talk and discuss about art, and all those things.
We looked at the paintings and sculptures, and discuss how the artist had portrayed a particular feeling, or maybe how she or he had made a statement about society or something else. It was like Harry and I were on the same wavelength about art; of course he had seen way more artworks than me but we had the same vision, there were a few disagreements but it would've boring and too perfect if we had agreed on everything.
"Now, that's how I see this bloody planet." The curly haired guy said pointing to one of the artworks. It was a big black circle that represented a planet, and it had some kind of black wires coming out of it. The artist was Robert Longo. "Full with darkness and damaged by you humans."
"Oh so you think all of us are doomed and don't have salvation?" I said, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Absolutely." He said.
"Not because of the mistakes human race had made it means everything is lost." I stated. "Yeah it's true that in this modern era you don't see humanity as a whole, you just see humans individually. But when we find something to fight and yearn for we, humanity, unite for a common good. I still have faith in us, as much as I have in you."
Harry looked at me and there was something in his eyes, like a sparkle. "That's why I love you. You make me see things I've never seen in humans. You teach me how to have hope."
I smiled and walked over to him and hugged him. "I love you." I said as I put my head in his chest.
"I love you." He said as he wrapped his arms around my body. We stayed there looking at the sculpture for a couple of minutes. "Come on." He suddenly said, taking my hand. "Let's go outside to see 'Urban Light'. Now it's in all its glory."
We left the building holding hands and once we were outside I noticed it was already dark. Time really flies when you're having fun, uh? We walked towards the 'Urban Light' exhibit and Harry was right, it was in all its glory at this time.
We walked through the hundreds of antique street lamps until we were in the middle of them so I decided to lean my back against one of them. I looked up to the night sky illuminated by artificial lights of this impressive sculpture. "It's so beautiful. Definitely my favourite." I said, almost in a whisper.
"You're my favourite work of art, angel." Harry said, leaning closer to me. He placed a soft kiss on my lips. "Definitely a master piece." I couldn't help but smiled against his lips. Suddenly I felt Harry lifting the ring on my necklace with a finger. "You still have my ring."
I looked down at it. "Do you want it back?" I asked.
He shook his head and smiled. "I want you to keep it. I like seeing it on you." I smiled when I heard those words and gave him a kiss. "Now you'll always have a part of me with you."
"So it'll be like a GPS?" I joked.
"I don't need a GPS to find you, angel." He smiled, caressing my cheek with his index finger. "I just have to close my eyes and let your soul take me to where you are. My body only reacts like a magnet with yours."
"It's because you're mine." I hugged him and buried my face on his neck.
"Yes, I am. And you're mine." He stated.
We stayed looking into each other's eyes for a few minutes, just enjoying the night and each other's company.
"Razia?" Harry suddenly said.
"Yeah?"
"Tu veux être ma copine?"
"Babe, you know I like French but I don't speak it, yet." I said laughing.
"Would you be my human?" He said serious. A little laugh escaped from my lips. "Don't laugh, Raiza. I'm trying to do it less cliché, you know?"
I nodded and pursed my lips. "Continue."
"I want you to be the one who shows me what love means, what true love means." He continued. "You're really one of a kind, angel. You had been the only one that has bothered to stay, even though I have been the despiteful demon I am; and trust me I have been here for times you don't even have knowledge of." Harry caressed my cheek and put his forehead against mine. "Raiza, you are my angel and my damnation; in your presence I reach divine ecstasy and in your absence I descent to hell." He said.
"Isabel Allende." I stated.
"It describes exactly how I feel about you." His emerald eyes were locked in my hazel ones, only looking at them, as there was nothing and no one else but us. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
I bit my lip as the biggest smile formed on my lips. "Yes!" I said, jumping into his arms as I wrapped mine around his neck. He pulled me in for the most romantic, breathtaking, sweet, marvellous kiss ever.
I knew having a relationship with Harry wasn't going to be a piece of cake but I don't care at all because all I see is my Harry finally loving me. He might be a demon but love is just that. You love them for who they are when they're with you, because once they let you see their true colours, without lies and excuses, is because they truly love you and want you to love them for who they are; they're not afraid anymore.
And I can gladly say I love Harry for who he is, completely. I wonder how many people can say that about their loved ones? I think I'm one of the lucky ones, wouldn't you say so?
...
