Capitŭlum Sedĕcim

The Capitan's voice woke me up from my pleasant deep sleep. I rubbed my eyes as the solemn come through the speakers.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are about to begin our final descent to the Tacoma International Airport. Please fasten your seatbelts. We are going to land in approximately 10 minutes. Through your window you can see the sunny Seattle. Currently the weather is 26 degrees and the local time is 6:10 pm. We have certainly enjoyed having you on board today, we hope to see you again real soon, and thanks again for flying on American Airlines."

I fasten my seatbelt as told and the landing began shortly.

I'll finally have my best friend completely back, I thought as the small landscape beneath me started to get bigger.

Once the plane was parked at the gate and it was safe for us to move, I turned on my phone and texted Rue saying I had landed and would be there in an hour or so. Once I got off the plane I went to get my luggage. I had to wait for a few minutes until my suitcase come in the baggage carousel and grabbed it. Then I went to Customs to do all those bureaucratic stuff, and when I finished doing all those airport procedures, I headed over to the 'Domestic Flights' exit.

I had rented a car to get to Fall City so I went to this touch-screen kiosk to do the check-in so I could get my car. A receipt-sized rental agreement was printed and then I was directed to my rental car on the lot.

At the exit booth, I showed this lady my rental agreement and driver's license.

"All good, ma'am." She said. "Have a safe trip."

"Thank you." I smiled at her and drove away.

I put the address of the Threehouse Point in my GPS car and it started to draw the route; it said I would be there in 45 minutes.

"Ok, Clarissa 'Knows it all', where to?" I asked the machine.

I continued through the WA-518 E highway and then turned right to the I-405 N highway. After going through some streets and making some turns I heard the GPS robotic voice.

"Please turn right to I-90 E highway."

"All you're sending me to are highways." I whined to the machine.

After a while I took the 22 Exit to Preston/Fall City and then drove through other streets and made some turns.

"Continue through Preston-Fall City Rd SE." The voice said. "Your destination is on the right."

"Thanks, Clarissa."

Once I finally arrived to where Rue and Matt were staying the first thing that crossed my mind was 'unreal'. I got out of the car and spun around trying to see every detail surrounding me.

This place was so breathtaking. It was one of those landscapes you can't put into words, and even if you tried you failed to do justice to.

And the peace, the peace that surrounded the place was unreal. It was like it took you to a whole different undiscovered world, full of magic and beauty.

"At least so many directions were worth it." I whispered as I took in and became imbued with the beauty of the place.

Suddenly the sound of a door opening startled me out of my thoughts. "RAIZA!" The excited voice of my best friend greeting me caught my attention.

"RUE!"

We both ran and clasped each other in a close embrace. "I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY YOU'RE HERE!" Rue yelled in my ear.

I started laughing and she hugged me tighter. "You'll leave me deaf."

"I'll leave you deaf with love." She said, giving me cheeky smile.
