Life is lonely. And there's nothing you can do about it. We're all just living in our own bubbles. Alone. Sometimes you think that you're not alone. The bubbles are floating side by side and you think "finally its not just me all by myself here" and then the wind blows the other bubble in a different direction and you guessed it: you're alone.

She dipped the want into the soap again and blew a new storm of bubbles. Se was standing on a balcony all alone., watching the bubbles blow away. The sun was standing high up in the sky and warming up the whole city. Finally, summer was here. She'd waited a long time for this. The fun trips to the beach, the late-night dinners and the school break where she didn't have to thin about numbers and dates from the past century. But now that the break had started, she just felt empty. All her friends were traveling around in the world. Exploring new countries. And she was stuck at home because her parents had to work. It's fair to say the disappointment was huge. She looked out over the poor thing of a view she has, and imagined it being the view of New York, Paris or maybe even some place in Italy. But then she came back to reality and she weren't one of those places. She was still here, stuck in this boring town where it barely got over 25 degrees. "there has to be something more I can do" she thought. This was her third week of doing nothing. And nothing sucks but it doesn't have to be that bad. Not if you're with your friends (that's when you're not alone). Because then you can just talk for hours or decide to go out and do something. However, when you're all by yourself doing nothing will eventually drive you mad. And if you didn't already know, most people prefer to stay sane for the majority of their lives.

"Ok" sha said to herself. That's something she had started doing; talking to herself. And she was pretty sure it was one of the first signs that you were going mad. "Enough is enough. If there's nobody here to have fun with me, I might as well have fun with myself" A date that's what it would be. A date with herself. Thinking about it, a date all alone might actually be better than a date with somebody else. No awkwardness, no need to think about how your manners are, no arguing about who's going to pay and the list just goes on and on. Looking at it that way, she could really understand why people prefer going on dates with other people.

She didn't want to make too much of a plan. That would just lead to her stressing because she wanted to het all of it done. No she would take this one step at the time and see where it would lead her. All she did was to make a set of ground rules. 1. No unnecessary use of the phone. She wanted to be present and live in the moment. 2. No getting kidnapped. That would for obvious reasons ruin the whole thing, and she didn't feel like laying in the back of a white van today her neck was stiff enough as it was. And 3. If she didn't have fun, she'd make herself have fun.
