Chapter 16

I slowly opened my eyes. It felt as if someone was holding me. The fragrance coming from that person was addictive. Without even realizing I leaned into the person. His grip on my arm tightened. I moved my head and buried it in his chest. Even this simple movement had caused me sudden and intense pain in my head. It was as if someone had hit me hard on my head. Wait who the fuck am I kidding, my entire body feels like I had been beaten. There was a weird feeling in my left arm and hand.

I continued breathing in the amazing, fabulous and intoxicating frangnace coming from that person.
I moved my head from that person's shoulder to his chest.

Even that small movement had caused sudden and intense pain in my head. It was as if someone had hit me hard on my head. Wait who the fuck am I kidding, my whole body ached like someone had beaten me. My left arm and hand felt weirdly numb.

Slowly my thoughts arranged themselves and I realized that it was Jason who was holding me and that I had fell unconscious and that I was leaning against his chest and he was driving to somwhere at an amazingly fast speed. His speed was just like mine. His movements were swift and smooth. God this man would be awesome in bed. Wait what the actual fuck how can my dumb brain connect driving to fucking. Ugh Jason you seriously wind me up in the most weird way.

My eyes continued to close but I resisted and tried to keep them open. Realizing that I was moving a bit my awesome fragranced knight in jeans and shirt looked down at me. Yup it was the one only hell of a beauty Jason Gray. Those captivating, deep blue eyes could only belong to him.

"Shh dont panic. Stay calm. Close your eyes. We will reach the hospital in 2 minutes." He said in his soothing voice.

I immediately closed my eyes as if I was hypnotized. Well wouldn't deny that either. At first it was only his eyes that made me go crazy. Then it was his voice and now his scent too. I was bound to go crazy. I then leaned into his embrace losing my self to unconsciousness.

Everything around me was white. The wall paint white.
The bedsheets white. The bed white. The curtains white. The window pane white. Even the door was white. Yup there could only be one place this white and that was the hellhole named Hospital.

"Finally you are awake. I was afraid you had passed away in your sleep but the doctor insisted that you were alive." said Jason in one breath.

"Calm down Jason. I am okay." I said in a hoarse voice that didnt seem like it was mine.

As if noticing this Jason handed me a glass of water which I gratefully gulped.
Jason had a tired look. It looked as if he had been awake the whole day and night. Wait how long was I unconscious.

Again as if hearing my thoughts Jason stated
"10 hours."

"What!" I yelled and immediately regretted it since my throat was still dry and it felt like my yelling had scratched it.

I drank more water and looked at Jason demanding for the details even though I knew in the back of my head that they wouldn't be very pleasing.

"You fainted in the car. I brought you to the hospital. There were times when you were conscious but only for a few minutes. The doctors examined you and treated the cut in your hand. It was deep and you had lost alot of blood.
They were quite surprised to see you in this state since you are the famous Ashley Black and all. But guess what it was me who got the real surprise. The doctors told me you had lost alot of blood and it wasn't just from the cut in your hand. They said that you had an even deeper wound in your arm and that it had bits of glass in it. Thank Goodness that your body was strong enough and it helped with the treatment and you didnt lose your arm. They gave you a bit of blood but your body was recovering quite well on it's own as if it was used to this." he continued explaining and i got even more uncomfortable with each of his sentence.

But Jason continued
"They also said you had someone dizziness issues and since you were quite exhausted from your run and what you claim to be your meeting you fainted. Guess you were telling the truth about running the whole way." said Jason

"Jason I..." started to speak when he stopped me.
"You don't need to explain in this way we won't be lying either but I would advice to be careful to avoid more wounds and to get your dizziness problems checked since you dont seem to be aware of them." he said in a silent and calm tone quite unlike his usual one.

I smiled at him gratefully and he smiled back stopping my heart. He brushed a strand of my hair causing my skin to tingle.

Then I ate the soup the nurse brought me while Jason rested. I finished the soup and saw that he had fallen asleep.

I got up and wrapped my blanket around him while he slept.

I picked up his phone and unlocked it with his fingerprint. My conscience kept telling me it was an invasion of privacy but I replied that I wasn't gonna wrongly use it. I just wanted to call James.

I called James and he picked it up.
"James Skylar here" came his voice sounding tired and tense, immediately I knew he was worried about me and I felt ashamed.
"James it's me Ash."
"God you bitch, asshole, annoying little brat where are you.? Do you have any idea how much worried we are?"
He yelled
I heard Anna, Nel, Nico, Mylie and Lina yell on the other side asking him to put it on speaker.

I knew they would all yell at me so I put the phone away form my ear. After a few minutes I placed it back on my ear and said
"If you all are done then let me explain." I said quietly.
Then I started to explain from going to the beach, meeting Jaosn, cutting myself, the fainting and all the hospital stuff.

Then they told me how much worried they were and how they all searched everywhere for me. Then James switched off the speaker and went to a private place to explain me  how they interrogated Lina and that how she was innocent which cant be true.

Even if she didnt do anything or that she had no hand in the Lestrange incident she wasn't innocent. I am sure she want innocent even at the time her mother popped her out. She is a dirty minded bitch of a bestie and no bestie of mine can be innocent.

He explained how she had a gang how we are now allies with her. He also told me about the girls we rescued that they were trained fighters who opposed Lestrange and that he had kidnapped them for his entertainment.

Hearing this infuriated me and I ordered James to give them the offer to join our gang and he said that he already did that since he knew I would say that and that the girls had agreed. I told him told him that we would talk about this later.

He switched the speaker on again and I continued talking to my friends explaining in detail. Anna kept on driving the subject to Jason and that how we love eachother. At first I rejected but then I lost the strength to do that and just listened to her theories while others laughed at my helplessness.

I talked for about 2 hours. When I turned around I saw Jason was awake and staring at me.

"Your phone" I said while putting it near him.
"How did you even open it?" he asked suspiciously
"Your fingerprint. Look I know I should have asked but I really needed to inform my friends all of this and you were tired and I didnt wanna wake you so I had to do this.

But trust me I just opened the call log. I  didnt invade your privacy but I think I might have finished your balance." I hurriedly explained.

Jason laughed and said
"I trust you so no need to explain."

His words made the entire zoo inside my stomach go crazy and wild as I stood there trying not to blush.
