Chapter 21

Me and Lina walked out of the room and entered the hall. The party was at its peak. The man I had hit during the dance wasn't any where to be seen. Nel and Anna were talking about something at one table. James was using his phone while Jason was standing beside that blonde again while she chattered with the news reporters. Mylie wasnt anywhere to be seen. Apparently she had found some hot guy and were banging against eachother as Mylie does at each party, ball, Ceremony and every night. I am surprised she hasn't started this at funerals too. Lina looked at me and I realized we were thinking the same thing and we burst out laughing. Since the fight with Lina this was the first time we laughed like we used to do. We all were extremely close friends and would give our lives for each other but since the Lestrange issue Mylie and Anna are on their own while I am with the boys and Lina with her gang.

We both walked towards James table while Lina grabbed a glass of champagne on the way. I looked at it with disgust and turned my eyes away from it.

"Ughh Ash come on, have fun...take a drink....get drunk...forget ur worries." said Lina between her sips of champagne
"Ahhh dear our concepts of fun are very different." I replied with a sigh
Lina shook her head and continued drinking.
we reached James table at the same time as Nico and I bumped into him. My arm hit the table and pain seared through my entire body as I let out a hiss.
I looked at Nico and saw that he looked very angry. His ears were red and his knuckles were scratched.

"Sorry Ash." he murmured walking away.
"Nico." I said while grabbing his arm.
"What.?" he asked frustrated
"What the fuck happened to you?" I asked him
"Nothing" he replied. But I wasnt going to take that reply
James also opened his mouth to ask but I raised my hand to stop him. I knew Nico wasnt going to say anything like that. We were very old and close friends and Nico liked his privacy yet he needed someone to understand him and listen to him.

Then I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the dance floor.
Sensing my intentions Nico smiled and grabbed my waist.
We started swaying to the beat. I looked into his eyes and saw they were filled with hurt.
I smiled as he swirled me. I bent backwards and he held me. He straightened me as my hairs swung.

Then we both walked towards the bar. I sat on one of the seats as Nico brought his drink.
After his tenth drink Nico started getting hazy. During the whole time I watched Nel and James talk while Anna and Lina drank red wine.
My eyes went towards the dance floor and at the same time Jason and my eyes met.

I looked away and saw Mylie come from the behind the stage with a man. Her hair were jumbled and she looked flustered. Her face was red and I was sure as hell that hickeys would be covering her neck.

I looked back at Nico and saw he was still drinking.
"Nico this is the first and last time that I wont stop you from drinking that much but only because I want to know what happened and for that you need to be drunk."

"Yeh and that is why i am taking advantage of the situation and drinking. Or else at normal days you dont let us take more than two sips." he complained while smiling.

"Yeh because I dont want my gang members drunk and then due to the loss of proper consciousness, losing their lives."
I saw Jason stop dancing and moving towards the stage.
Then he grabbed the mike and the whole hall silenced.

The background music started  as Jason cleared his throat. He  looked way more nervous than a singer that famous.

Then his eyes met mine and he started singing.
His soft voice echoed throughout the room and all the people looked at him.

His songs theme was evidently love. I watched Jason the whole time he sang and he looked at me.

After a few minutes Jason's voice rose and the guitar beats became louder.

"Baby know that the feelings I feel for you wont end. Every day and every night I wish to look in your eyes and sing songs of love to you. Baby baby baby.....I love you for an eternity ..infinity.....Baby baby....know that the feelings I feel for you wont end any time...."  and with that he struck the strings of his guitar for the last time.

All the people started cheering and Jason then broke the eye contact with me.

I blinked my eyes and looked away. My eyes met Nicos and I saw him smirking as he had seen all that. Curse my God damn luck.
James, Lina, Anna, Nel and Mylie walked towards us.

I grabbed Nicos hand and ran from the bar before they reached us.
"Why are we running from then?" asked Nico
"Because they will ask questions I dont want to answer." I replied

I and Nico went in one of the backstage rooms and sat there.
He asked me alot of questions about Jason which I didnt reply saying that I would explain when he would.

After sometime of chatting we both decided to go back home and I said that I had left my bag at the bar so we went to take it first.

I saw Jason near the bar sitting alone.
"Hey." I murmured to him.
"Are you free from your million boyfriends." he spat at me.
"Excuse me." I said shocked
"No need to act innocent Miss Black" he said in the same tone.
"Jason I have no idea what you are talking about and really dont have time for this." I said
"Yeh yeh you never have time for others do you. You are so busy with your boyfriends as it is. But we can have a drink if you are done with them." he said angrily as he held out a glass in front of me.

"Why do you care? When you yourself are always busy with your 1 million girlfriends." I spat angrily. The whole days anger and frustration burst out of me and I hit the glass in his hand knocking it down as it shattered into many pieces.
Hearing the sound of breaking glass Nico came running towards me with my other friends close behind.
Many people were looking at us by now but I ignored them and grabbed my bag and Nicos hand and walked out of the hall in anger.
