[Third Person P.O.V]
As Marcel and Klaus chatted, Hayley and Rebekah looked through the pregnant women section. "So how did it start? The attraction between me and Klaus?" Rebekah nodded.
"When I met him. But it was more like 'he's attractive but still a no'. And Elijah was there to give me the comfort I had wanted for a long time. But he didn't understand the pain I went through for years of my life. All he could do was comfort me." Hayley sighed. "And I loved him for that. But it wasn't the same.
I don't want you to hate me, Rebekah. That's part of the reason why I never told you. You think I'd be upset? Yes. I didn't want you to think that I played them and put them against each other, I swear." Rebekah smiled walking over to her best friend.
"Hayley how could I hate you? You're my best friend. And although you did love both my brothers, I would never hate you. Understand? Yeah. Good now finish your story."
Hayley laughed and picked up a XL shirt that had baby mama on the front. "So getting it." She whispered to herself before speaking up to Rebekah.
"Anyway, the attraction I had to Klaus was different the more I got to know him. He understood me more that Elijah. He experienced the pain of turning even though it was once or twice. He understood being alone in it.
He knew what it was like to find out your life is a lie. And he just walked with me through the pain. It got to me. From there to when I turned into a hybrid. How did you turn anyway?
I wasn't around then. Kl-," Hayley stopped and shivered. She felt her neck hairs standing on end. She was being watched. Placing a protective hand over her stomach, she looked around.
"Hayley? Are you okay? Is it the baby? No. I just feel like I'm being watched. And it's kind of freaking me out. Let's just hurry up and go home." She said and Rebekah nodded. She picked up a few stretch pants for herself and Hayley before walking over to the men.
"Hayley and I are going to check out. Meet you at the door." Rebekah and Hayley walked towards the counter and before Hayley could pull out her wallet, Rebekah pulled out her card. "I'd like to take it off the Mikealsons bank account please." Hayley looked shocked.
"You and your siblings have a bank account? Yes, and it's going to be yours as well along with your child's. As soon as banks were a thing, I made it my mission to put all our leftover money in a bank account.
How much money is it at?" Rebekah turned back to the cashier, grabbed all their bags and the receipt. "Over 3 trillion dollars. You're screwing with me." Hayley said as they walked out the store.
"I am not. Why do you think we're so wealthy? We're the riches vampires alive." Hayley gasped. "Don't act so surprised, love. We're the Original Family." Hayley laughed as Klaus held the door for all of them. He walked out last and caught up with them afterwards.
As they got in the car, Hayley sighed. "That was a much needed shopping spree. I'm surprised you didn't go all out.
Me too, Bex. You're known for your shopping. That's only when I'm going to a party. Now, it's for Hayley who is pregnant and is going to grow. She has to look stylish as well." Hayley smiled and buckled her seatbelt.
They exited the mall and were almost home when a man stepped out into the road. Klaus swerved around and Hayley turned to look back. "What the hell? Was that who I think it was?" Suddenly, Klaus swerved again before gripping his head. Aneurysm.
"It's the witches. Again!?" She asked. "Can't I at least go to mall for clothes?! Apparently not." Klaus grunted pulling over.
Hayley touched his arm and was about to ask if he were alright when her door was tore open. A hand reached in and pulled her out her seat, dropping her to the ground.
She landed with a grunt and saw a man with blonde shaggy hair and brown eyes. He was glaring down at her. She looked and saw the one that pulled her from the car was Jaiden. But it didn't seem like him.
She listened for a heartbeat but only heard one, the witch's. Hayley growled and jumped up. She grabbed Jaiden's arm that reached for her and twisted it. She tugged and stumbled back when it broke off.
She turned to witch and hit him with the arm three times in the face, and he fell to the ground, knocked out.
Hayley turned to the thing and raised it's arm. "What do you want?" Hayley asked and turned seeing Klaus get out the car, free of the aneurysm. He took the arm out her hands and stabbed it into the thing's head. It's body began to melt and Klaus backed away.
"Come. We need to get home. Now." Klaus and Hayley rushed to the car and drove home in silence. When they arrived, Klaus called for Freya.
"Freya, we can't stay here. Hayley can't at least. They know where we are. Where she is. They won't stop until they have her and our child." He said and Hayley shook her head.
"No! If they want me, they can come try and get me. Hayley no." Klaus turned to her and sighed. "I know you want to stay and fight be we know nothing of what Jaiden is capable of. Not yet. I won't lose you to him." He held her shoulders and she nodded silently.
"Okay. But we have no place to go. Unless one of you owns something private here in New Orleans." It was silent until Marcel spoke up.
"I think I've got a place. Right outside the Quarter. The plantation where I used to be slave. That's under Klaus' name still. After all these years?" Rebekah asked and Marcel nodded.
"Yeah. Maybe you guys can stay there until the birth. It's totally secluded." Marcel said and Hayley looked at Klaus.
"It's all we've got. We have to take it. I'll go pack. Me too. I will as well." Freya said. "I can cloak the plantation. What about here? How will we make the witches think I'm still in the compound?
Leave that to me. Go get packed. We leave tonight."
