As they were discussing the rival history between the two academies, Kurt took little part in the conversation and sat close to his brother who, when he had first moved near him, had gently rubbed his shoulder before wrapping his arms back around Rachel's waist.
"Wait a minute!" Santana suddenly said, raising her hands up to signal everyone to be quiet, "If you were at their school, that means you knew them personally" Santana started, "You can tell us their weakness!!" she cheered, clapping her hands together lightly, a smirk on her face.
Everyone nodded and agreed as they looked to Blaine however, he wasn't sure what to do.
Sure, he knew everyone on the team and, even though, he didn't get along with all of them, he still had friends there. Could he really tell his new teammates about the Warblers' skills and weaknesses?
"Isn't that like.. cheating?" Kurt asked shyly, tilting his head, and asking what Blaine had wondered.
"Oh, chill out Lady Hummel, it's not cheating. It's gathering information" Santana remarked as she shot a look in the porcelain boy's direction before turning back to Blaine, "Now spill" she demanded, a determined look on her face.
Blaine hesitated for a moment before sighing, giving in to the stares from his friends/teammates, "Alright sure" he said, a faint smile on his face.
The room filled with cheers and fist pumps were thrown in the air by everyone, everyone but Kurt who looked a little disappointed but kept his thoughts to himself as he slunk back down, his back against the raised floor again.
"Okay so, the Warblers competition team consist of 20 members" he began, everyone was listening intently, some even leaning forward in an attempt to hear better, "Sebastian, Hunter, Jeff, Nick, Thad, Wes and David are their top dancers, the ones you need to keep an eye out for" he explained, listing them off on his fingers as he spoke.
"David" he said, "David is a street dancer but on top of that, he's a trickster" he began, "Back flips, dolphin dives, L kicks, aerial twists, barrel tucks. The list just keeps going" he listed off from memory, images of the dark-skinned boy flashing through his thoughts, "However, that's all they really use him for in group pieces so, if we can get multiple people doing some advanced tricks, we can level it out" he explained earning nods from the group who were still listening intently.
"Jeff" he said, "Jeff's a street and contemporary/modern dancer" he continued, "He's pretty decent at what he does and features in a lot of duets and trio's due to his slim figure which allows him to be lifted and chucked around a lot" he finished, the blonde boys smile and energetic movements coming to memory, "But, he can be too energetic for his own good sometimes and often that results in him trying out new things that tend to go wrong either because, he did it wrong, he was messing around or because he wasn't being supervised" Blaine chuckled remembering the time Jeff had attempted to copy his boyfriend, Nicks, flip and hadn't waited for Nick to support him so he fell into a bookcase and knocked everything down.
"That leads us to Nick" he explained, "Jeff's boyfriend and often his dance partner" he elaborated, "Nick's the same styles as Jeff and he's usually the one doing the lifting or throwing around of his boyfriend because, while he's shorter than him, he's got more muscle. Paired together, they're formidable opponents" Blaine admitted, Nick and Jeff had always been two of his closest friends at Dalton and the dance academy, so he sighed as the guilt of what he was doing was starting to bite at him.
"Hunter, he's street to a T. Does nothing else and has no interest in anything else either. He's the main issue when it comes to street cause the guy lives and breathes it" Blaine informed them, frowning at the mention of the boy, who he had never really gotten along with.
"Next is Wes, he's the captain of the Warblers along with David and Thad, he's a contemporary, street and tap dancer. Pretty decent in them all and not too bad when it comes to doing headsprings and k-stalls" Blaine continued, the asian boy coming to mind as he yelled for routines to be perfected - Blaine was allowed to watch them practice due to being close friends with most of them.
"Thad does the exact same styles as Wes but has slightly less knowledge in them all. Also, he's not the best at tricks but, like Jeff, he's quite light and small so he's used for lifts and such" Blaine explained, Thad hadn't been a close friend like Niff and Wavid had been to him, but they hung out often enough to know each other.
"And finally, Sebastian" Blaine sighed, hating to talk about him - even more so after he saw the sad look Kurt gained from his name.
Something definitely happened between the two and Blaine was desperate to know what.
"As you know, Sebastian is a ballet and contemporary/modern dancer who dabbles in the jazz and street but he never competes in those two as he isn't that good at them, though he'd never admit that as the reason" Blaine started, "Sebastian's been dancing since he was four and usually gets his marks from his extensions which, when you're his height, are more obvious for the judges to see" he continued, "He's also rather strong, though he doesn't look it, and so often does quite advanced lifts with either Jeff or Thad but, mainly Thad" he told them, trying to figure out what else to say, "And uh, obviously he's a douche bag and he think he's the best and should always win" he finished, clapping his hands together with a slight smirk, "Did that help?" he asked after a slight silence, everyone just staring or finishing writing there notes that he didn't realise they were taking.
"Well, I think it's safe to say that Blaine Warbler has helped us a lot for the next competition" Artie said as he pushed his glasses up and smiled at the group, then to Blaine who nodded in return.
"Hell yeah! He's like our own little information box on the enemy!" Puck cheered causing others to chuckle.
"Good job partner, you might be worthy of your spot after all" Rachel said with a smile, though her words confused Blaine slightly.
"Glad I could help" he croaked out, the guilt setting in and fighting against the happiness he felt for his team and friends who were smiling as they cheered and clapped for their new teammate and friend who they, now, fully trusted and accepted as one of their own.
"Group hug!" Rachel yelled as she stood up, pulling Finn with her who grabbed Kurt up as well however, Kurt instantly pulled away from his brother's grip with a glare that made Finn leave him alone.
There were groans and eye rolls, but everyone still got up and hugged each other tightly, Blaine more in the middle than on the outside. He felt so happy but, when he lifted his head up, he saw the door open and close, and Kurt leaving with his bag.
