Chapter 15

"Jade.... I'm so sorry" Dan looks at me his eyes are filled with emotions but I don't know what emotions they are.

"Tell her Dan or I will" Adam threatens Dan. Nina and Elleanour come to stand behind me but they don't say anything. I don't blame them. I don't know what to say too. Even If I wanted to say something I'm not sure my voice will come out.

"I....Jade" Dan tries again but then shakes his head.

"I can't tell her.." he looks at Adam sadness in his eyes.

"Okayyy... I'll make it easy for you" Adam rolls his eyes and I see a side of him I haven't seen before. He wasn't like this. He wasn't cruel and mean. He never talks this way, hateful and ruthless. I can't believe what I'm seeing.
Maybe he was just acting the whole time.

"Ok Jade,Listen." Adam starts walking toward me.

"Remember when you cheated on me?"

"I did'n-" he cuts me off by holding a finger.

"You cheated on me and Emma told me. She said she saw you with Zack at his party sitting alone and that you both looked so intimate" I'm boiling with anger right now from all the false information and a bit afraid of what he's going to say next.

"And you believed her so fast?" I can't help but interupt him.

"You didn't let me finish. Of course I didn't believe her at first. So I asked her for a proof. She showed me a piece of paper written on it and I qoute "I miss you so much. Let's meet soon.... Yours. Jade". And I'm sure it was you who has written it because I know your handwriting."

I'm in shock right now I can't even collect my thoughts to make a sentence as I remember the day I wrote that note.

FLASHBACK :

"Jade.." I feel someone sits beside me so I turn my head to the left and see Andrea *Emma's friend*. She's not so bad, at least not as bad as Emma.

"Yes?" I answer her almost wispering. Did she has to choose the library to talk to me? I think.

She grins and says "can you please help me with this stupid assignment?"

"Umm..yeah sure" I smile and nod.

"Is it from English class" I point at her English books infront of her.

"Yeah it is" she answers and frown at her books.

"So how can I help you?"

"Uh..we need to collect notes from students on what would they write to their lovers in two short sentences if they haven't seen them for a week. You know like when you text your boyfriend telling him you miss him but instead you write on a paper" She explains.

"Oh, ok. I can do that" I smile at her.

Umm what should I write? Hmm. Let's just keep it simple. I write my my thoughts on the paper then hand it to her. She looks down at the paper and read it out loud.

"I miss you so much. let's meet soon... yours Jade" she smiles and looks at me.

"Perfect. Thank you" she grins and stood up to go.

END FLASHBACK.

Adreana lied. She lied to me. She gave it to Emma who gave it Adam. But how did he know that it was Zack who I sent the note to? Not that I did. And I absolutely did not sit with him in his party ALONE and we did not look INTIMATE. Emma. That fucking bitch.

I know that I went to Zack's party alone. Not with Adam I mean. But becasue he told me he was busy. And I told him that it was okay if I didn't go but he insisted that I should go. This is all so fucked up. I don't know what to think.

"I didn't write that note for Zack" I say angrily defending myself.

"Cut the crap Jade. Emma saw you passing it to Zack in your Bio class" I'm starting to feel sick. I look at Dan who's standing on the side looking at our conversation. Not saying a word. And I don't know how to feel about it.

"So after seeing the proof I got mad. Really really mad. You broke my heart." He says almost sadness in his eyes but then his new mask is on again.

"So I decided to break yours" he smirks and I think I'm imagining what's happening. Its just some sort of a sick joke. It has to be.

"W...W..what?" I stutter then feel a hand on my arm and I realize its Nina's.

"You heard me. I just had to do it. So I started to think of a way to do that. That's when I found Dan" he points at Dan and my eyes burn with tears and I blink faster to prevent them from falling.

"When I saw Dan I thought that he was perfect for this...this project we can call it" his smirk is still on his face.

"You're sick!" Nina spits out. And he ignores her.

"So the idea was to make you fall for him. Then you'll found out that the whole time Dan was acting." tears start to fall and I feel the lump in my throat rising. I look at Dan again but he's looking at the ground. He can't look into my eyes.

"He doesn't love you. He doesn't even like you. I was just forcing him to do all of that" he shrugs and I can't see straight.

"He was complaining the whole time. Saying "I can't stand her", "she's annoying and needy". And I kept telling him to wait it's just a matter of time when she falls for you then everything is finished" he uses air qoute.

"So Jade. Is your heart broken now? Do you feel like there's a hole in your chest? Do-" He's cut by Nina

"Stop it you stupid jerk! That's enough" I raise my hand signaling for her to stop talking.

"Dan?" My voice is broken and my head is throbbing from crying. He doesn't say anything but now he looks in my eyes. I walk closer to him.

"Is that true? What he's saying?" I cry again. He's still not saying anything. He just looks sad and broken. Not broken as me. I think.

"Dan please..... say something" I'm infront of him now. A feet between us.

"Say somthing Dan!" I scream and cry and pound my fists on his chest. I stop moving my hands still on his chest but I'm still sobbing. He puts his arms around me and I don't move. I don't have the power anyway.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Jade" he says in my ears so no one can hear him.
