Chapter 18

"I hate myself! And I hate him for using my weakness against me, it's not fair!" I cry on Nina's shoulder and she wraps her arms around me.

"It's ok Jade... Everyone makes mistakes" she tries to asure me.

"No Nina, not like mine. I kissed him Nina! I kissed him" I pull away from her so I can see her face.

"I know, and that's normal. You obviously still love him. Just give yourself some time and I'm sure you'll be fine" she gives me a warm smile and I smile back and wipe my tears.

"You have to worry about something else" Nina tells me.

"What is it?" I ask her and frown my eyebrows.

"Registering for Universities?" She says like it's so obvious.

"Oh yeah. I should do that. Maybe I'll start tomorrow" I run my fingers through my hair.

"Ok then, we'll do it together" she smiles and so do I.

Dan's POV:

"Dude you kissed her?" Jessie asks me, surprised. I sigh and nod.

"I have to tell you man, that was wrong. I had just knew what you did to her and it was a huge deal, so I don't think you should've kissed her" he shakes his head disapprovingly.

"Well Jessie, don't you think I know that? I came here to talk to you because I have no one else, and I thought you'll be positive a little in this situation and help me to think of something" I tell him while hiding my face in my hands.

"Okay, so what do you want me to do?" He asks me while sitting on the small stairs infront of his house's front door and I go to sit beside him.

"I don't know. Maybe give me some advice" I suggest.

"Umm..appologize?" He raises his left eyebrow.

"Really, Jessie?" He laughs.

"What! I'm trying to think of something here" he defends himself.

"Well, think harder" I chuckle.

"Did you explain everything to her?" He turns his head to look at me.

"Yeah I did. But she said she doesn't trust me anymore" I tell him looking at the ground. He stays silent.

"Well..?" I urge him to say something.

"I don't know Dan. You messed up. You should just give her sometime you know, just so she can sort everything out. I know you love her, but only love is not enough in relationships, trust is as important as love is. When she loves you, she trusts you. But you lost her trust in you, that's why you should give her some space, after she thinks clearly you can go and try again with her"

I understand every single thing he said. And he's right. I should give her some time. Then I'll try to make her trust me again. I just have to be patient.

"You're right Jessie. i'll do what you said. Thank you so much for helping me" I smile at him.

"No need to thank me. That's what friends are for" he smiles and pat my back.

"Butt... You have something else to worry about" he says.

"What is it?" I frown. I have no idea what he's talking about.

"Registering for universities?" He says in a duh tone while raising an eyebrow. I tottaly forgot about that.

"Oh yeaaah. I forgot that. Shit. I'll have to do that soon. Did you register for one?" I ask him.
