Chapter 13

"Welcome home!" I breath out once I open our house's front door. Mom and Carla walk through the door.

"Heh .....thanks" mom says while sitting on the couch. Carla puts mom's bags on the floor near the stairs.

"Soo...." I say while plopping down beside her.

"What?" Mom asks.

"Nothing.... just wondering what do you guys wanna do?" I ask mom then turn my head towards Carla raising an eyebrow.

"Carla?"

"I don't know?" She says almost a question.

"Why are you guys being so difficult?" Silence.

"Ok whatever, I'll order pizza and watch some movies. If you want you can watch with me". I tell them.

Carla and mom look at eachother.

"Okay..... order me pizza too" Carla says while sitting on the floor infront of mom.

"Yeah me too" mom says and put her legs on my lap.

I narrow my eyes at them.
"That's what I thought!!"

I stand up and mom's legs on the couch.

"I'm going to order" I tell them and walk to the kitchen where the phone is.

"I'll choose the movie" Carla shouts from the living room.

"No way!! I had the idea first" I shout back. I hear her say that's not fair to mom and I laugh.

Before I get to call Pizza Hut to order, Dan's name apears on my phone.

"Hello" I answer.

"Hey love" Dan replies.

"Uh... Jay, what do you think if me and Tania come over to spend sometime with you guys,,, we're so bored here" he says.

"Of course you can come babe. I was going to order pizza before you called. I'm gonna count you and Tania in" I smile.

"Okay. That's great! We'll be there in 15 minutes"

"Okay. great. Bye"

"Bye"

I order and go to the living room.

"Hey mom. Dan and Tania are coming over" I tell her

"Oh sweetie. that's great" she smiles.

"I'm gonna change and be right back" I kiss her and go to my room. Carla must be changing too.

I go to my room and pull a comfortable grey hoodie and black tights from my closet. I go to the bathroom to wash my face and freshen up. I change and go back downstairs. The door bell rings and I go to open it. I see Tania and Dan standing in the door way. Both of them wearing comfy clothes.

"Heyy Tania" I grin and hug her. She's such a lovely girl.

"Hey Jade" she smiles and hug me back.

"Come in" I gesture for them to come in.

Carla enters and goes to the living room.

Dan enters and I close the door, as soon as I turn he pulls me to him and kisses me and I smile through the kiss.

"I miss you too" I laugh once we break the kiss. He laugh too. He gives me a small peck on my lips and we go to the living room.

"Hey darling" mom welcomes Dan when hr enters the living room.

"Hi Laura" he smiles.

Carla come and says hi to everyone.

"Ok so Carla and Tania can choose the movie" I give Carla a look that says you-better-do-what-I want-next time. She owes me. She gives an evil smile. I know how to deal with her later.
