Best to hurry out so I have a lot of time to spend with him. Maybe he has games too? Maybe I will discover a new side of him. My hopes got up a bit. He's the cure of everything so far. Everything just goes wrong when he's not around. So strange... but that's how it feels like. I wonder how he really feels.
The map I was following suddenly showed that I had taken a wrong turned I turned back some roads. Aha. It's around this corner. That explains it. His house was smaller than mine. Like more simple and compact. Practical in a way.
I stood there looking at it for a while. I saw a shadow move behind the curtains and then the door opened.
"Come on in! Don't just stand there in the cold"
Cold? I had been so busy finding the way and thinking about stuff that I hadn't even noticed how cold it was. Maybe my jacket and shoes played a role in it?Inside I was surprised how big it looked compared to outside. They must have their stuff well placed and kept it very practical.
He proudly showed me around the house. There was no doubt that he had been waiting for me. That's exactly why I/what I like about him.
The warmth inside was good. They had lit the fireplace already. Even though it was only late autumn still. Winter was around the corner so I couldn't blame them for being a bit early.
It seemed like his mother was out grocery shopping. And his dad was doing some paperwork. He smiled and said hello when he saw me before he continued. The kitchen and living room was one big room divided in two areas.
We went back to the corridor leading to different doors. One was the bathroom."This is my room" he said and opened the door for me.
I entered and looked around.
"Oh! Your bed has drawers to put things in. Your home is so practical."
"Hehe. I guess it is." He looked so happy. "When I move out I'm going to have a stationary PC and all. Maybe even a cat or something."
"Yeah. Me too. I want to have so much when I move out. I'm definitely not leaving behind my game console. And maybe practical like this house."
"Really?"
I nodded. He looked at me and we laughed. If only he would come with me and create this future. I wonder how that would have been like.
That morning we chatted along about everything from little to big."Oh. You only have one controller? Let me go home and get mine."
I was about to get up, when he stopped me. "No. That's okay. You stay here and I will go buy a new one."
"Oh. Okay." I said and sat down again.
I sat there looking through the room. Everything is so well placed and practical. Is it his parents that made it like that?
It didn't take long until he was back again.
"That was fast"
"So cold outside"
"Really? I didn't even notice earlier."
"What? How can you not notice this cold?"
"Hehe. I don't know." I took his hands in mine and warmed them without thinking much about it. But as he was staring at me it slowly came to me. He just smiled when I realized and looked up.
"You really are warm."
I nodded and turned away feeling my cheeks burn. I'm not sure if he got the situation or not. But he put his cold hands on my forehead and cheeks to cool it down.
"I'm stealing a bit of your warmth." He said. Looks like he didn't realise my reaction.
"I guess I'm stealing your cold then. Haha."
