When I woke up I thought I was in my own bed. But it soon came to me that I was resting beside him. He was long gone. Sleeping like a baby. But on his back with arms and legs in all directions. I was the one having all the dune.
"You must be so cold" I said and put the dune over him. I guess I really fell asleep and slept all night. And so did he. He moved around with the dune getting dragged with his movements. I tried to fix it again so he wouldn't get cold. The moment I let go of the dune he opened his eyes and looked straight at me.
"Thank you. For keeping me warm too." He said and I blushed and moved away quickly. In the morning light I was sure he noticed it. So he continued; "and for visiting too." Is he testing me?
He closed his eyes and opened them again seeming to be sleepy still.

As we ate breakfast I got a question from his mother about whether my parents knew that I was sleeping over or not. I stopped and checked my phone.
"Are you coming home tonight?" It said from my mother.
"Sorry. I fell asleep. Nothing happened."
Some minutes later I got a reply:
"Don't worry. I trust in you. You can stay there as long as you want as long as nothing happens. 😉"
"Thanks for understanding"
"You're welcome. I have been young once too you know. 😉"
What's with this know-it-all attitude? It's not like I'm doing the exact same as her. But at least she's not asking too much about the details.

"What did she say?" His mother asked.
"That she trusts me so I can stay."
"That's good. Then have fun. I won't bother you then" she said and blinked knowingly to both of us. It took me some time before I could look at him again. What is his mother doing? Blinking to us. Making the situation so awkward.

"Come on. Let's go do something." It looked like he wanted to save me from the embarrassment. Does he already know? Or is it that he thinks it would be embarrassing either way?
Since I didn't react he came closer to me and lay a hand on each shoulder, looking at my face as I was sitting there. I jumped a little bit.
"Finally! A reaction."
"Don't do things like that!" I said. But even then his smile made me smile too. So I just couldn't help it.
"But you're smiling still..."
"That's... that's because... you are smiling so... Uhm." I paused thinking. "It's contagious"
"Really? So I can make you smile that easily?" He seemed satisfied and I gave up fighting against it. I want to be as easygoing and happy as he seems to be right now after all.
