At school again I greeted him from a distance and sat down in my seat. Occasionally I turned around to look at him. But the last time he just stared back and discretely pointed at the chalkboard as if he was telling me to pay attention or not make it awkward. I looked away quickly. And here I thought no one would notice. When lunch was there I saw he had hid himself under the hood as if putting up a "Do not disturb" sign.
Most of the classroom was empty as people had gone out in the sun and I dared to get closer to him. I hope this is okay.
Is he sleeping? I sat down in front of his desk as quietly as I could. No movement at all. His breathing was calm. I lifted up his hood a little. The sleeping face of a boy in my class. A misunderstood soul with the ability to make plants grow. He is a bit cute and cool in a way.
I barely realized how close I was until he suddenly opened up his eyes and jumped up confused in his seat.
"Ah!" He said as he slowly calmed down. "Oh. I must have fallen asleep. How long have you been sitting there?" He looked at my halfeaten lunch, then at the clock.
"Not long." I said smiling from ear to ear. I got a good moment just now. I'm not going to ruin it.
He looked at me with skeptical eyes. Then he looked around the classroom finding that we were all alone.
"I see..." he said still slightly confused.
"Nothing happened" I said.
"Good... I guess." He answered still not convinced. But he let it go and smiled.
