Love is In the Cosmos

I wake up and find myself alone in my bed. I reach out and remember last night and smile. My hand hits a piece of paper I grab it and sit up. I push my hair out of my face and read.

Angel, 

I sit here writing this note as well as watching the most beautiful person in the world sleep. Even with your hair all over the place and your make-up smeared across your face you're still gorgeous. I had the greatest time with you watching old movies. Thank you for that because I needed it. See you at breakfast in the cafe.

                        

I smile and sit Cody's note on the bedside table before standing up and stretching. I pop my back and neck then head to the bathroom. Flipping on the light I jump at the sight of my reflection my hair  is in knots.I resemble the bride of frankenstien with my mascara and eye liner is smeared across my face like the black stripe on a raccoon's face. Geez, I look horrible, but apparently I slept  really good. 

I turn on the shower and let the water get steamy while I pull my dress over my head. After getting in I scrub my face with make-up remover, shapoo and condition my hair, shave and moisturize my legs and underarms, soaping up, rinse, and get out step out of the shower. I walk into my room, pull on a sports bra, boy shorts, put on Cody's new Stardust tshirt with him in costume on the front and his phrase 'Face The Strange' on the back, a pair of stressed denim jeans, and gold vans. I decide on just chapstick and concealer and head out the door.

I go to grab my phone off the table by the door before noticing a Batman bracelet sitting by it. I smile to myself and slide it on my wrist as I shut the door. I arrive at the cafe' and grab a blueberry bagel, strawberry smoothie, and a chocolate doughnut before paying and finding Kelly and Cody sitting with Mike and Dustin at a table by the window. 

I smile as I sit between Dustin and Cody. I lean over to kiss Cody and he kisses me back. I see Kelly and Dustin smile at each other.

"Good morning." I say to them before I bow my head to pray.

After giving a silent amen I pull my head back up and join them in their  conversation where Cody and  Mike are arguing over who as better Superman or Batman. Cody is pro Batman of course and Mike pro superman. Getting tired of their argument I bite my doughnut and join in.

"Mike we all know Batman and Superman are both good, but frankly I agree with Cody, Batman  could kick Superman's ass any day." I say with a smile

Dustin looks at me.

"Please don't tell my you're a comicon nerd too." He says

I look at him like he has three heads or something.

"What do you mean by comicon nerd Dustin?" I ask looking at him intensely

He just starts back eating without saying a another word to me the whole time.

"Hey guys I should get going. I have something more adventurous planned." I say getting up from the table 

I push in my chair. Cody gets up and does the same. We walk out hand-in-hand. I'm swinging our arms back and forth when he says something.

"You know Goldie didn't mean anything when he asked where you a comicon nerd right?" He ask

I turn to him as we cross the street and smile a slight grin.

"And I didn't mean to snap at him the way I did. Its just that I'm sensitive to being called a nerd. Geek I don't mind being called, but call me a nerd and you get whipped." I say

Cody laughs as we walk through the park fence.

"So what do you have planned for today thats so adventurous that you left your friends hanging." he ask 

I ponder on what to tell him when honestly I just lied to all my friends, and all because I hated that I snapped on my boyfriend's brother the way that I did.

"Cody, honestly I just told them that because I hated the fact that I snapped on Dustin like that." I say as I take a seat on top of a hill 

He stands by me for a few moments before sitting on the ground beside me.

"Angel look Goldie will be fine if anything you hurt his pride and he was possibally a little embarrassed that an eighteen year old made a fool out of him." He says 

I look down at the ground and start playing with my gel manicure. I keep doing this until he holds both my hands in his. I glance back up at him.

"You know you do that a lot babe." Cody says 

"I do what a lot?" I ask giving him I questioning look

He grabs my hands again when I start playing with my nails.

I look at him and grin before looking off into the distance.

"I only do it when I feel uncertain or insecure. Sometimes I realize that I'm not promised tomorrow and it scares me, but when I wake up the next day I feel thankful that God has allowed me to live another day even if I am all alone at times. My biggest fear is that I'll die lonely and all alone."  I tell him before turning my head to look at him

He's got the weirdest look on his face and I shiver under his gaze it feels like he can see through me. Then he leans across the space between me and him towards me and I find myself leaning toward him too. After a few moments my lips touch his and I find myself kissing him back. Its passionate and beautiful making my mind swirl.

After long we pull apart and that's when I realize I'm sitting on his lap with his arms around me.

I lean my forehead againist his before shivering and he wraps his arms tighter around me.

"You'll never have to worry about being alone Angel because I'll never leave you alone and we'll always be together from this moment on. we'll grow together and we'll die together." He says wiping his thumb below my right eye

I realize that I'm crying and I smile at him. We sit on top of that hill and watch the  sun rise over the hill. I lay my head on his shoulder as flaming oranges,  reds, and pinks shoot across the skyline behind the city. He kisses my head as I exhale and lean into him resting my head against his chest.

I know its short, but I've got more coming I promise chap 11 will most likely be the longest chapter yet, but I don't garantee it.
