Love is In the Cosmos

I wake up to my cell ringing and flip on the bedside lamp and looking at the clock. Four thirty A.M you've got to be kidding me I say to myself as I reach for my cell. I slide the green button across the screen and place it to my ear.

"Hello?" I ask sleepily

"Angel, it's Kelly." She says

I haven't talked to Kelly since I beat her the night I debuted on Raw at Staples Center in L.A

"Ah, Hi...Kelly Is...there um...something I can help you with?" I ask

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I sit up brace myself againist the headboard I grab a cigarrett and light it while I wait for her to say something.

"Actually I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for not letting you know about the script change that night, and that I really miss hanging out with you Angel. It's just that before you came Cody and I use to hang out all the time and it's like since you arrived he barely even notices me anymore." Kelly says in a barely audible voice

"I miss you too Kels, I'm sorry if I've caused Cody to no longer be your friend or if you think he hates you and stuff." I say drawing on my cigarrett

"You know banana creme pancakes sound really good right now." She says 

I laugh.

"Hmm, how about I meet you in the lobby in five and we'll go to IHOP to find out just how good they really are?" I say taking the last draw from the ciggarett and dropping it in the glass of water on my nightstand.

"Your on. Meet you in five." Kelly says

"See you there Kel." I say as I'm about to hang up

"Oh, and Angel you know smoking causes premature wrinkles right?" She asks playfully

"Yeah and Botox takes care of that." I say with a  laugh as I hang up

I throw the comforter back and hop off the bed I walk into the bathroom, wash my face, and run my fingers through my hair so that the tangles are at a minimum. When I'm done I gargle some mouthwash and walk out of the bathroom. I slide on my TOMs and grab my phone before I head out the door.

It doesn't take long for the elevator to arrive I wait for the door to open, and when it does I step in all the while looking down at my phone attempting to get through level twenty-nine of Candy Crush if only I could get all the stupid jellies cleared. In no time I'm putting my phone in my pocket and stepping out of the elevator and into the hotel lobby.

"What's up Babydoll?" Kelly says as she throws an arm around my shoulder

She's smiling and I can't help but smile too Kelly's smiles have always been contagious to me. As I pull away I feel as if I'm the happiest person alive and all because I've got my best friend back.

"So how about those pancakes?" I ask

She looks at me and laughs before pulling her umbrella out as we walk to the door. I should've known that it'd be raining because that's really the only time Kelly ever decides that she wants banana creme pancakes.To be honest I love them so I really don't mind going with her.

"Wanna walk or take the bus?" she ask as we step outside and on to the side walk

I look at the sky and it's not really raining all that bad plus the sky is starting to show the slightest hint that dawn isn't that far away.

"I wanna walk if that's okay with you Kel I love this type of weather in Philly because it's amazing to witness the sky turning gold behind the horizon of the city." I say

She hands me the umbrella and smiles.

"You know that right there is why I love you Angel. You see the beauty in everything around you even the most rainest day we've seen since we arrive back to the east coast." Kelly says as we turn a corner and start the three block walk to IHOP

"Aw thanks Kel. I knew I loved you for some reason or another." I say with a hint of laughter in my voice

"So...I heard you went out with Cody last monday?" She says

I throw her a questioning look.

"How'd you find out?" I ask as we walk across a cross walk

She looks at me and smiles.

"He told me the following morning because we were suppose to go see this movie after Raw he'd been dying to see and I was wondering why he never showed since he had practically begged me to go see it with him. Then he said that he got caught up in dinner with you longer than he thought he would. He of course apologized like a billion times, but I didn't really mind because I had a back up plan." She said with a wink

I look at her and laugh.

"What back up plan was what exactly?" I ask

She smiles before answering.

"Ah...It was playing tonsil tag with Mike duh." She says with a laugh

We're still laughing when we arrive at IHOP in our pajamas.We grab a booth in the back near a window facing the city. No matter what city we're in we always get the back booth facing what ever city we're in. This has become a thing for us even before I became a diva. Soon we order our pancakes and we each get a hot chocolate.

"So how was the kiss goodnight?" She ask

I almost coke on a bite of my pancakes.

"Yeah I know that he kissed you goodnight. How? He told me. Why? Because I asked him if he did.

I grab my hot chocolate and try to wash down the pancake lump stuck in the back of my throat. After chugging half the shake I'm finally able to talk.

"So I'm guessing the two of you really are close huh?" I ask

She takes a bite of her pancakes before sipping her hot chocolate then nodding her head to answer my question.

"So has he talked about me since Monday?" I ask sipping my hot chocolate after finishing my pancakes

She smiles a toothy grins.

"Oh. my God. Angel, don't even get me started. Tuesday morning at breakfast in the hotel cafeteria I bribbed him with a volume one Superman comic book after hearing him talk about you for the entire ride down the elevator, in the long line to get our food, and twenty mintues at the table. I love you girl but I got annoyed." she says as we get up and split the tip

We arrive at the hotel and go our seperate ways. I lock my door and slam down on my bed thinking about what Kelly said about Cody constantly talking about me. Soon I'm out cold.
