Y/N'S POV:

Defense against the dark arts, one of my favourite classes. After I had my breakdown with Draco we went to our classes as breakfast had ended before we came back.

Tom ignored me the whole of potions class, but I couldn't care less, I didn't want to talk to him anyway.

I entered the classroom, greeting Remus as he was at his desk. "Ah y/n! Are you excited for class today?" Remus asked, walking over to me and giving me a hug. "As I always am, but you seem extra happy today, what's going on?" I looked at him curiously after he let go of the hug. He grinned, "We're doing boggarts."

My heart dropped, oh god please no. "Oh, really?" I asked, trying to stay calm. "Yes! Aren't you excited? You were last year when we did them," Remus frowned, noticing how I wasn't as bright as I usually was. "Yeah, I am, I just don't know what will come out of the cabinet," I tried to swallow the lump I felt in my throat. "Well, whatever it is, it can't be that bad right? Plus, all you'll have to say is riddikulus with the flick of your wand, and there, it's not so bad anymore," Remus smiled. "Right, not that bad," I said, seeing people start to flood the classroom as I was the first one there.

"Now go sit with Longbottom and I'll start the lesson," Remus smiled once more before sending me off to my assigned seat with Neville.

"Hey Nev," I smiled at my best friend, I haven't talked to him in a bit. "Hi y/n," He smiled back. "I'm sorry that we haven't talked that much, I've been busy and-," "Don't worry about it, really, I feel equally as bad," I cut him off, looking at him. "Okay, did you see Luna at all yesterday by chance?" Neville asked, taking some things out of his satchel that he always carried around. "Uh yeah I did actually, she helped me get ready for the party my house was throwing. You didn't know she went?" I asked, messing with my rings.

"No, I didn't. You went to a party? What have you done while we haven't talked?" Neville asked frantically. "Did you get drunk? Did you do something you didn't want to do? What happened with Luna, she didn't do anything she wouldn't right?" "Neville calm down, Luna was fine the whole time, she basically babysat people, she told me she usually does that if she goes to parties. And no, I didn't get drunk nor do anything I didn't want to," I sighed, thinking about last night's events, again.

"Okay, good good, what did you guys do?" Neville looked at me. "We played this muggle game called spin the bottle," I said, trying to remember what else happened. "Oh yeah, I've heard of it, not a very fun game it sounds like. Did you have to kiss anyone?" Neville laughed. "Yeah, I did. Before you frantically ask who, it was Draco," I started to laugh hysterically, causing Neville to as well. "Really? What did Riddle do about that?" Neville asked, still laughing. "He wasn't very happy, especially because I kissed Draco for around thirty seconds, on purpose," I laughed even harder. "You what? I can't believe you would- Why would you do that?" Neville exclaimed, starting to try to catch his breath from laughing so hard.

"I wanted to take the piss out of Tom, I don't know why, I just did," I said, calming down from laughing. "What did he-," "Told me to meet him in his dorm in ten minutes, need I say more?" I cut Neville off, starting to laugh when his eyes went wide. "Merlin y/n, why would you-," "Boggarts, who can explain them?" Remus asked, cutting Neville off.

"A boggart is an amortal shape-shifting non-being that takes on the form of its observer's worst fear professor," Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor informed. "Very good Granger, ten points to Gryffindor," Remus smiled, causing all the Gryffindor's in the room to cheer. Hermione smiled, clearly pleased with herself.

I rolled my eyes and Neville caught me doing it. "Someone's jealous," He joked. "Am not," I scoffed, listening to Remus once more.

"Now, everyone get into a line in the middle of the room, a straight line too, I don't want a cluster," Remus stated, causing everyone to rush out of their seats and into the middle of the room as instructed. I sighed, getting up and walking behind everyone, I didn't want to be the first person. Neville came with me even though I told him he didn't have to, but he still did.

"Now, I think I know who should go first as they're head girl," Remus said, eyeing me. My heart dropped once again, no oh please no. "Uh, okay," I faked a smile, walking up slowly, everyone's eyes on me.

"Take out your wand, you know what to do," Remus smiled at me, I did so, taking my wand out as I saw the cabinet shake. I saw the cabinet open and waited for whatever to come out, I was scared of many things so I honestly didn't know what to expect.

I then saw Tom come out of the cabinet, I was confused, but then remembered my questioning on if he loved me.

Everyone in the room gasped, they all knew me and Tom were dating, of course they didn't get it. He stepped forward, coming closer than I would have liked.

"You didn't really think I loved you right?" He laughed, looking me in the eyes. "Pathetic." My eyes glossed over with tears. I took a deep breath and raised my wand, pointing it at him. "Riddikulus!" I shouted, roller skates were then put on his feet, making him tip over and try to catch himself.

Everyone started laughing, besides me, I had to get out of there.

"Y/n wait!' I heard Neville call out to me, I just ignored him and kept walking, exiting the classroom and into the corridor.

As I was practically running through the corridors I ran into someone, causing me to fall over. " I-I'm sorry," I stuttered, I was already on the verge of tears, god please don't make me breakdown right now.

I then looked up and saw Tom, the real Tom of course. "What are you doing out of class?" He asked, watching me get up. "I could ask you the same thing," I sniffled, trying not to make eye contact. "Don't talk to me like tha-," He cut himself off when he realised I was holding back tears. "What's wrong?" "Nothing, I'm fine," I said, trying to push past him but he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.

"Don't lie to me, what's wrong darling?" He asked again, his voice softening. He grabbed my chin and made me look at him, I couldn't bare it. "I said nothing, Tom," I looked down in which he sighed.

Tom then pulled me into him, wrapping his arms around my frame tightly. I returned the favour, wrapping my arms around his torso. I put my face into his chest, starting to cry. "It's okay," He whispered, stroking my hair.

"Do you want to skip the rest of the day and go to my dorm?" He whispered, in which I nodded. He let go of me and wiped the tears off of my face, grabbing my hand and leading me to our common room.
