Y/N'S POV:

After breakfast I decided to go to the library to study, I didn't really need to as I was top of all my classes, but I also just wanted to make sure I understood everything just in case and maybe read a book after.

I entered the library and greeted the librarian with a simple smile as I walked towards the table I normally did homework or studied at. I then sat down, I remembered that I left my textbooks in my dorm and I sighed in annoyance. I didn't need to study anyways.

I then got up from my seat and roamed the library, going in and out of aisles full of books. I heard someone come in the library but I didn't think much of it as I just kept searching for a book to read.

After a while of looking I gave up, I then started to walk out of the aisle I was in until I saw Tom looking around also, I turned around and started walking the other way as I didn't want him to see me.

I then saw Seamus sitting at a table doing homework which was a very rare sight to see. I ran over to him and sat down which seemed to startle him. "Merlin y/n, you scared me," He whispered and laughed. "Sorry," I apologised. "It's all good, why were you running?" He asked with a curious look on his face. "I saw Tom looking around, he was near the end of the aisle I was in and I was about to leave, I didn't want him to see me and when I saw you here I ran over," I explained in which he just nodded slowly.

"I thought you fancied him?" Seamus asked in which my eyes widened. "Who told you that?" I asked in an almost demanding tone. "No one, I just overheard a conversation with you and Longbottom, don't worry, I won't tell," Seamus said, moving his pointer finger and thumb across his lips acting like he was zipping his mouth shut "Thank you," I sighed in relief which he nodded in return.

"When are you and Riddle leaving?" Seamus asked after a while of silence. "Tomorrow," I said in a sad tone, I felt bad that I was going to leave Seamus, but it wasn't like he didn't have other friends like Dean Thomas.

"Damn, you're leaving me that early huh?" He said in a sarcastic tone. "I thought you loved me." I rolled my eyes playfully, but played along. "I do, but this just can't work out, I have to," I paused. "Move on." Seamus gasped dramatically and put a hand over his heart. "How could you? I love you!" He yelled out which caused us both to burst out into a fit of laughter.

The librarian shushed us as we were still laughing, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Tom looking at us from one of the aisles but I ignored him.

After our laugh fest we finally calmed down and started talking about anything we could think of since we never really talked, but we then got rudely interrupted by Tom sitting next to me.

I turned to him with a curious look on my face, but I just turned to Seamus and motioned for him to ignore Tom.

"Are you ready for all of homework we're gonna get after break? It's going to be loads, we'll have at least a week or two's worth," Seamus groaned, he wasn't the type to actually do his work. "I mean sure, I usually get all my homework done in around an hour, and that's a lot for one day so I think I'll be fi-," I cut myself off when Tom put his hand on my thigh. "Y/n? Are you alright?" Seamus asked. "Uh, y-yeah, I'm fine, I just thought I saw something sorry," I lied, Seamus gave me a questioning look but didn't say anything else about it.

"As I was saying," I cleared my throat. "I think I'll be fine with the homework." "Well, if you do finish all your homework could you do mine?" Seamus asked in a jokingly way which caused Tom to squeeze my thigh hard. "Why don't you do it yourself Finnigan?" Tom asked through gritted teeth. "I was just joking Riddle," Seamus said, putting his hands up in defense. Tom just scoffed in response and kept reading his book as his hand was still on my thigh.
