Y/N'S POV:
Dumbledore had informed me and Tom that we had to get on a muggle train in which Tom scoffed. "So no magic, no wands out," Dumbledore started listing things off. "Also, when the train stops at the third train station get off there, your parents will be there." "Got it, got it, and how are we going to get to the train station?" I asked, Dumbledore looked between me and Tom and said something, I'm not sure what it was exactly, but then we were somewhere that wasn't his office.
"Go on, you're going to miss the train. I'll see you two in about two weeks, enjoy your break Miss y/l/n and Mr. Riddle," Dumbledore smiled at us as he pushed us towards the train when we arrived.
My trunk was terribly heavy, I was dragging it on the ground as Tom was carrying his with no problem whatsoever. "Tom, could you," I paused as I stopped walking. "Help me with this?" He looked at me and sighed, picking up the trunk like it wasn't heavy at all. "You're so weak, you know that right?" He asked, carrying both trunks on top of each other, how was he doing that? "I'm not weak, it's just heavy," I crossed my arms in which he scoffed as we got on the train.
"Go on, get in," He nodded towards the compartment as he stopped in front of it. I walked in and sat down, watching him as he put the trunks on the shelves above the seats. He then sat down in the seat in front of me, the train was kind of like the Hogwarts Express, just more, modern.
"This is so pathetic, pathetic muggles," Tom scoffed under his breath. I just hummed in return, I didn't want to agree nor disagree because I knew he would get mad if I disagreed but I would also be lying if I agreed that muggles were pathetic. Sure, I was a pureblood and I was supposed to hate muggles, but I didn't mind them. Tom only hated them because his father was one. I still never got why he hated all of them just because of one person.
An hour or two passed and I started to get hungry. I then remembered that I had kept some chocolate that Remus had given me at dinner a while back. It was still good of course, the chocolate he gave out never went bad. I then remembered that I didn't say goodbye to anyone before me and Tom left, not Seamus, not Remus, nobody, and I felt terrible about it. I could just owl them when I get home though, thank merlin for that.
I brushed away the thoughts and reached in my coat pocket and grabbed the chocolate, grinning. Tom eyed me suspiciously but I ignored him. I opened the chocolate and took a bite, Remus always had given me huge pieces of chocolate knowing I probably wouldn't finish it in one sitting.
I then looked at Tom who was staring at me. "Do you want some?" I asked, gesturing towards the chocolate. He just scoffed and shook his head, looking out of the window that was covered in fog. "Come on, just take some," I dragged out my sentence. "It's good." "I don't want your filthy chocolate," He grumbled, still looking out of the window. I sighed and continued eating it until I wasn't really hungry anymore.
A little while passed and I decided to speak up again. "You're going to have to be nice to my parents," I said, looking out of the window. I heard Tom shift in his seat and I felt his glare on me but I ignored it. "And why should I do that?" He questioned. I scoffed, "Because, they're my parents and they decided to let you have a place to stay rather than Hogwarts for break so you wouldn't be alone, at least be grateful for once merlin." "I didn't tell your bloody parents to make me come with you, dimwitted dumbledore probably did," He said, still glaring at me. "Well still, just.. enjoy it, okay? Be nice and respectful, it's not in your nature, I know, but you charm people, so just do that or something," I sighed, looking at my hands and fiddling with them.
"Will you do that for me?" I looked up and met his gaze. It took him a while to answer but he finally did with a simple nod and continued to look out of the window. Silence once again.
