Y/N'S POV:

"You definitely fancy him!" Neville laughed. "I do not! He's the one always staring at me, it's quite creepy actually," I said as shivers went down my spine when I remembered his cold, emotionless stare. "He probably fancies you then," Neville smirked which caused me to hit his arm.

"He does not, why would he?" I asked. "Why wouldn't he?" Neville asked back. "Well for one, he never talks to anyone, I mean anyone. The only people he actually talks to are the professors. Two, I'm not attractive, like at all, he would definitely fancy someone that's good looking don't you think? And three, we never talk, why would he have an interest in me now?" I said, looking at Neville.

"Well, let me tell you something y/n, you are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, don't bring yourself down like that okay? I hate it when you do that," Neville frowned.

I melted at what Neville had told me, he's so honest and kind, I don't know what I'd do without him honestly. "Thank you Nevvy," I hugged him, he hugged me back right away as usual.

As we were hugging I met Tom's eyes again through the compartment door window, he was sitting alone I noticed.

"You're staring again," Neville said, still hugging me. "How do you-," "You lifted your head up some, you usually keep your head down whenever we hug," Neville interrupted me. "I don't get how you notice such little things," I said as I let go of the hug. Neville shrugged, "I just notice I guess, we have been best friends since first year so how could I not?" "Right, at least you're open minded," I said, looking out of the window.

Soon enough we were at Hogwarts, my second home.

Me and Neville walked out of our compartment, about to get off of the train when I noticed that Tom was still in his compartment, what was he doing?

"Are you coming y/n?" Neville asked, noticing I had stopped walking. "Uh yeah, go ahead, I'll be one moment," I smiled at him which he returned but with a weird look. Neville then got off of the train and I walked over to Tom's compartment.

"Hey Tom, are you getting off?" I asked shyly, why was I acting like this?

Tom just looked up and stared at me, we stared at each other for what seemed like forever until I heard Neville call after me. "Y/n! Come on! The last carriage is almost here we're gonna miss it." I looked at Tom. "Come on, I'm not leaving you here," I said grabbing his arm and lifting him up. He was way more taller than me, 6'4 it seemed, me only being 5'4 he towered over me.

"Let's go then," I smiled at Neville, walking off the train still holding onto Tom's arm. Neville looked at me like I was crazy, mouthing the words "what are you doing?" I ignored him, getting on the carriage as it arrived.

Tom yanked his arm away and sat farthest away from me and Neville. "Douche," I mumbled, which caused Tom to stare at me again. Great.

After chatting with Neville for a while we finally arrived at the castle. Getting off, Tom brushed passed me, putting something in my hand. I looked at him as he walked away, then at Neville. "What is it?" Neville asked. "Pardon?" I said.

"The thing Riddle gave you, what is it?" Neville asked again. "Oh um," I started, I looked in my hand to see a rolled up piece of parchment, I unrolled it to reveal Tom's neat handwriting.

Don't call me Tom and don't ever touch me again or you'll regret it.

"It's just a piece of random parchment," I lied. "You're lying, let me see," Neville said, grabbing the parchment from my hands. "Don't call me Tom and don't ever touch me again or you'll regret it," Neville mumbled and lowered the parchment, looking down at me.

"What?" I asked, getting irritated that he was just staring at me. "You can report this, he's threatening you y/n," Neville said, giving me the parchment back. "It's not that big of a deal Nev, really, I don't care," I said. "Now let's go before we miss the feast."
